But then, I think that mindset has to do with years of deep conditioning to think a certain way. So like you said, they justify it in their minds, because of that conditioning. Which only benefits the PTSB who want all these wars for their own purposes.

So, for Oct. 7, 2023 attack to be a "false flag" it would have to been done by the Israelis against the Israelis ! No participation at all by Hamas.
Clearly, Hamas was involved, so this is not a "False Flag".
It may be possible to claim Israel had an Intelligence Agencies/sources failure in expecting this attack and/or initial response. I'll cover that in the post.

The "fake news" is for the wrong conclusions and false interpretations you are inferring from the links. I've looked through them and it will take too much time and energy this late at night to slice and dice out the relevant excerpts, so maybe sometime tomorrow if I have the time.
I'm not seeing any clear evidence that it was a top down decision to intentionally kill Israeli civilian hostages. Maybe in some cases local commanders and/or troops might have made that call, but descriptions of the combat actions suggests that there was extensive confusion in the early days of the attack and response to have resulted in the "collateral damage". Also the "friendlies" killed by the IDF are very small numbers compared to the hundreds killed by Hamas, Hezbollah, and other Jihadists.
Also some of this is result of the general destructiveness of the modern weapons used and the difficulty in close urban combat to always find and target only enemy forces.
There are some key passages in your links I'll try to excerpt and present tomorrow that underscore the confusions and ambiguities the IDF is operating under.
A key point to remember and apply is that Hamas, Hezbollah, and other Islamic Jihadists groups have a stated goal and objective to destroy the nation Israel in total, along with any and all of it's people/citizens (Kill the Jews!). This has been an unchanged objective in the never ending war/conflict by them against Israel since 1947. And also part of a larger (near ending) Jihad against the non-Muslim world since the time of Muhammad, 1400 years ago.
It also needs to be re-mentioned that Hamas, Hezbollah, and other Jihadists have a long history of using civilians as shields, partly for propaganda, but mostly as protection for the "Holy Warriors". Islamic Jihadists have long history of disregard for innocents caught in the middle of their battles and wars, and often that is intentional tactic.
Another factor is that between near daily attacks, mostly by rockets and missiles, from Hamas, Hezbollah, and other Jihadists against Israel, indiscriminately including civilians, there are always intel of enemy plans that often turn out to be ruse, deception, or never materialize. It can at times be confusing to sift the grain from the chafe in such reports. Especially when in this case no clear date and times were included in the intel.
