Britain’s allies condemn the “first offensive use of a nerve agent in Europe since the Second World War” and describe it as an assault on UK sovereignty.

"…the use of an illegal chemical weapon that could be employed on a battlefield makes the March 4 crime qualitatively different. The assassins used Novichok -A-230, an “enhanced” nerve agent dispersible as a liquid or powder. Reports claim it is eight times more toxic than VX liquid nerve agent."

So where is your "World Opinion" you lefties care about so much and what is it accomplishing?

World opinion is condemning the attack.

Should the UK launch nukes at Russia over it- no.

Should the UK take reasonable measures to make it painful to Putin and his pals- yes.

Putin must be hiding in his closet because of your world opinion.

As If the UKies Don't Execute Their Own Turncoats

Why has the Ewe Qae declared itself a sanctuary for those whom the Russians view as traitors who must be punished? Is espionage some kind of sports league where the players can change teams without consequences?

Good to hear from the Putin stooges now and then, thanks. You may return to your cesspool now.

They have some excellent universities in the UK.

American and Brit prisoners can't have much of an opinion if English translations of Russian are their only recourse.

If they used this chemical weapon on our president, would you Putin lapdogs think it was an act of war?

yes or no?

Who is "your" and why do you care about the ""world opinion""?

Russia has reignited the cold war; Putin is a megalomaniac and lusts for more power, and seemingly acts as if the means in doing so don't matter.

He seems to carry himself as do many small men, arrogantly; he seems not to care about human lives.

yes or no?

Yes. As a Trump hater would you?

Yes. Trump is a disaster and needs to be removed from office, but legally. Pence and Ryan have the authority but not the balls to invoke section 4 of the 25th Amendment.

Trump took this oath:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of
President of the United States
, and will to the best of my Ability,
preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
It can be argued that Trump has not faithfully executed the Office of the President of the United States:
  • He has used the office to profit himself, his family and his cronies;
  • he has provided secret and top secret state secrets to those not vetted to receive them;
  • he has fired people to protect himself from scrutiny,
  • he has set his rubes to attack those who redress their grievances;
  • he has lied repeatedly
  • he has attacked the free press repeatedly
  • he has attacked HRC, his opponent repeatedly, and asked the Russian government to seek to hack her e-mails.

Obviously, it would be stupid for Russia to do the hit just before elections. The antidote is stored at Porton Down, not far from Salisbury.

There isn't a lot anyone can do about this, but instead of political grandstanding and treat it as premeditated murder and have Interpol issue red notices for anyone who is suspected of being involved.

Red notices don't mean jack. Lavorov already brought that up in yesterday's media.

Yes and no. They will not compel any country to arrest them, but they will brand some Russian officials as being formally suspected of premeditated murder and that will cool their welcome in many countries they might want to do business with. How many banks will want to make a loan to some one wanted for murder?

Oh Putin doesn't give a damn about world opinion- until it starts to affect him and his cronies personally.

What Putin and his cronies do give a damn about is having free access to the delights of Western Democratic Capitalism- such as buying pricey homes in London.

Which is also why they hate the Magnitsky Act- and have lobbied so hard to get it repealed in the U.S.- if London passes a similar version- Putin would notice.

What do you think should be the UK's response to the attack on their soil?

yes or no?

Yes.

You know it would be but the question would it be a direct conflict or a proxy-war like pitting Israel versus Syria?

Is it an act of war to use it during Spy vs Spy?

No, but being used on U.K. soil is frowned on and if it were to be done here then the backlash should be swift and harsh.

The U.K. has a right to be angry but a full scale conflict will not happen. Sanctions are what will happen.
