This said---the damned catholic pope helped Hitler rise to power---without the pope and the catholic church's aid--Hitler and the nazis would have never rule over germany. The reason why the catholics helped Hitler was because of a deal these two parties made which in exchange for their help, the nazis would reinstitute a church tax (where the government would take out the 10% tithe to the church) and then give it directly to the Catholics and Lutherans alogn with access to the school kids for indoctrination. Most of Germany's top brass were atheists. Himmler was a Norse religion follower, Hitler was an atheist and despised the church.
