Was Bernie always over-rated?

In Iowa in 2016 he and the sick bitch were the only candidates, this year there were more stupid fucking liberals running. Without them, Bernie the Commie would of Beaten "Sleepy, the groper" Joe Biden hands down. Why are you such a dishonest prick all the time? Do you know what honor is?

Except that doesn't appear to be the case. Quite the contrary, with all those other candidates eliminated, Biden is quickly outpacing Commie Bernie, and frankly, Biden isn't a strong candidate.

of course, by the time Covid-19 is done, anyone would be able to beat Trump.
The "Doctors" expect the bug to be gone and only about 200 or so dead because of it. In 2009 when the brown turd Oblummer found 1000 US citizens have died from the H1N1 virus, he as being typical of a liberal moron decided that something should of been done about it. We the people, who have intelligence remember this shit, and why dumbasses like you need to be dropped in the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.

Obama waited six months after H1N1 became a pandemic to declare a public health emergency.
But it wasn’t until six months later, October, that then-President Obama declared a public health emergency on what was already a pandemic. By that time, the disease had infected millions of Americans and more than 1,000 people had died in the U.S.
CNN reported at the time:
Since the H1N1 flu pandemic began in April, millions of people in the United States have been infected, at least 20,000 have been hospitalized and more than 1,000 have died, said Dr. Thomas Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. [emphasis added]
In June the stock market will recover and end up at 30,000 by Nov 2...As President Trump will win reelection by a 48 state landslide(Cal and NY are worthless states).

No, but your beloved Hillary is.

I never liked her as a candidate. Didn't vote for her in the primary and only voted for her in the general, because Trump was so unacceptable.

(I voted for Kasich in the primary because I thought there was still hope for the GOP).

What is becoming clear is the more people get to know Commie Bernie, the less they like him. Hopefully, he'll fold his tent after being thrubbed in IL and FL next week.
LIAR. You said before, that you converted to being a stupid liberal a long time ago. Stop being such a dishonest prick.

Great to see you are such a distinguished debater...

There is plenty of people who are Real Conservatives who don't like a president who is not a fiscal conservative and who never accepts any blame (which makes him no scoial conservative)....

The only thing he managed to convince people if Liberals are loosing Conservatives must be winning. These people think this is a zero sum game. All Americans loose when you screw up the Coronavirus response,...
I would like to repeat what I posted on another link

Idiots like you are the reason why there is panic in the streets, because you are an idiot with no better to say than parrot what the Lame Stream Media tells you to say. In June the virus will be dead, life will be back to normal, the DOW will be going up gangbuster and it will hit 30,000 Nov 2nd because President Trump will be reelected in a 48 state landslide(Cal and NY are worthless anyway).

Bernie is still Bernie

He has been playing this act for decades. Mostly, he has been a voice of dissent in the Senate, a Muckraker, someone who gave a speech and was then ignored.

In 2016, a group of followers started taking him seriously. He is still Bernie.
And Biden has lied and lied and lied. But you like lies.

OK
You list Biden’s lies and I will list Trump lies

GO!
It’s a tie.
Nobody can lie as prolifically as Trump

The biggest problem the Democrats have had was their morbid fear of the Bernie Bros and not offending them, lest you get a bunch of snake emojis in your Twitter feed.

But the reality is, Bernie was never that popular on his own. In 2016, he was the alternative to Hillary, a person who a lot of Democrats would have liked to have seen any alternative to.

This year, Bernie's performance has failed to match is 2016 performance, even in states he "Won".

Iowa He got 49% of the vote in 2016. In 2020 he got 26%
New Hampshire He got 60% of the vote in 2016. In 2020 he got 25%
Nevada He got 47% of the vote in 2016. In 2020 he got 40%
Colorado He got 59% of the vote in 2016. In 2020 he got 36%
California He got 46% of the vote in 2016. In 2020 he got 33%

Even Vermont, his HOME STATE, he got 50% of the vote, compared to the 86% he got in 2016.

There are several things out there.

The turnout is much higher than in 2016. Look at the composition of the Virginia vote and you will see what is happening. In Virginia, Democrat turnout shattered all Presidential primary records with around 1.5 million voters voting. 57% were women and 52% suburban. That suggests many of them were suburban women. The turnout among blacks was heavy as well.

The higher turnout has hurt Sanders. Suburban voters are more moderate and are another weakness for Sanders. That could hurt him in Michigan. Even in 2016, Sanders beat Clinton by getting 72% of the district delegates in Washington however Clinton beat Sanders in the advisory primary vote by a 52-48 margin with around 800,00 voting.

A second factor is Trump himself. A lot of Democrats and independents want to beat Trump. Who can beat Trump is the uniting factor. The polls clearly show Biden can beat Trump. It is not as clear whether Sanders can beat Trump. CNN conducted a poll recently. The day before Warren dropped out, it was Biden 52 Sanders 36 Warren 7. After she dropped out, it was Biden 57 Sanders 32 Warren 2. 5% of the 7% Warren had went to Biden. That suggests people may be ready to close the road show and move on.

Anytime anyone ever articulates for the people the power structure must interrupt a true representative democracy. The DNC stated in court during the aftermath of the 2016 charade that is has no legal imperative to honor the wishes of primary voters in the general. Our corporate state media machine and concentrated capital will manage this for the rabble. The DNC would rather lose to Don than go rogue relative to concentrated capital and serve the interests of the people.

Don is not the disease, merely a symptom. Of course your corporate state media machine will push status quo.

Bernie has too many ideas like President Trump: keep us out of stupid wars, and bring jobs back to America and raise wages.

This is 100% counter to what the DNC elite want. They make money off wars, and from shipping jobs to China, as well as allowing US companies to hire illegals so they don’t have to pay Americans. Bernie has since flipped his position on immigration, so now he is okay with driving down wages with an influx of immigrants. That’s why he isn’t as popular as last time.

Good post Joe!

Bernie had more competition, meaning more choices for the voters; in other words, the choice was not binary.

But, his fall from grace came when he started talking about Cuba and Nicaragua. Everything that people said about him that he and his supporters deflected became instantly, at least partially accurate.

He was never really going to win in the South of this country, but those statements caused him to absolutely give away Florida as we will soon see, and with New York's bread and butter being built on the financial markets and stock exchange, he would soon lose that too; which also will be shown shortly.

His path to victory was on super Tuesday, and now that is gone! In my humble opinion, the only real chance he has now, is if Biden totally collapses in the debates; which would be a smart reason for the DNC to leave Tulsi on the stage as an alternative should Biden do that because, remember------->if Biden collapses quickly, with no other choices, Bernie would win outright, and the DNC would be stuck with him!

I think he had major problems to begin with. The turnout was much higher than 2016. Colorado and Minnesota were caucuses in 2016. The problem with Sanders was that he thought he could woo blacks with policy. When Bloody Sunday was commemorated in a historic black church, all the active candidates and even a couple that had just dropped out participated. Sanders was in California.

Sanders lost Florida by 2-1 to Clinton in 2016. What he is facing is a higher turnout of moderate and black voters. His statements on Nicaragua and Cuba are extra dirt he has been piling on his grave in Florida. Matching the 33% he got against Clinton in 2016 would be a victory.

Biden will crush Trump in November. Trump knows this as well as his supporters. You know this because of all the lies told about Biden and the whole Ukraine fiasco.

The electorate will not forget Trump’s incompetence and ineptitude in handling this coronavirus crisis. Now Trump’s mental illness is on full display in his bizarre tweets.
Dementia patients don’t win anything. Just listen to the man talk. He’s not all there.
And Trump is? Trump’s tweets often make no sense. Trump is incoherent many times. Trump slurs his words. Not to mention, Trump evidences that he has a severe mental illness. He sees conspiracies everywhere,

And there are people who think Biden is nuts???? Biden has nothing on the insanity that Trump exhibits on nearly a daily basis.
So, you want to exchange one nut for another nut. LOL.

Bernie beats Crazy Don. The dementia boy Biden has no chance.
Not a chance. You have it backwards. Bernie loses to Trump. Biden wins against Trump. Go with the winner and stop bitching. The worst thing for this country is four more years of the mentally ill Trump.
so you want to give us 4 years of another mentally deficient person....once again we get a great choice in candidates....

Imo it's one of two, or even both 1) no he was/is not overrated anymore than Trump who saw a segment of the population that traditionally gravitated to one party as being less than underserved by the party OR 2) yes Bernies socialist schtick has always been laughable to at least 70% of us.

When FDR took over in 32, he nationalized every unsolvent bank, and shareholders in US maftring had already lost at least 50% of their worth. FDR bailed out the nation's depositers and unemployed and left the capital holders to fend for themselves. (They did quite well by 1946, btw)

When Obama took over in 2000, he bailed out the stock holders and mortgage lenders, and the workers and borrowers were left to fend for themselves.

There are valid macro econ reasons why Obama did what he did, but the human cost shouldn't have been ignored. And while I realize Obama was the first black potus and made racial inequality a maj focus of his last two years …. imo he should have addressed income inequality (or more accurately … opportunity inequality)

He absconded everyone's gold (unless you were a collector) and paid 25 dollars for a 20 dollar gold piece, and because of that, took US off the gold standard, thus weakening the dollar. FDR takes United States off gold standard. On June 5, 1933, the United States went off the gold standard, a monetary system in which currency is backed by gold, when Congress enacted a joint resolution nullifying the right of creditors to demand payment in gold.

This is so true. From Caitlin Johnstone.

“Establishment liberals are running around telling everyone that their common sense observations of Biden's obvious cognitive decline are not valid because they don't belong to a special, elite group of authority figures. Yeah that'll definitely shut those grassroots populists up.”

Even Vermont, his HOME STATE, he got 50% of the vote, compared to the 86% he got in 2016.

When FDR took over in 32,
He absconded everyone's gold (unless you were a collector) and paid 25 dollars for a 20 dollar gold piece, and because of that, took US off the gold standard, thus weakening the dollar. That 20 dollar gold piece is still one ounce of gold but the price of the dollar is now 1/800th what it was. FDR was a Socialist which was why he and Stalin were able to work together while Churchill had to suck it up, and behave to the Commies or else lose the war. But FDR sure taught the US a very special lesson and that was TERM LIMITING to 2 terms. Shame that doesnt apply to worthless Congress and Senate...

google "Milton friedman" "gold standard" and "great depression"
This is the easiest way to say this. 1913.....the Federal Reserve was created. The United States changed its money system from gold and silver backed to a fiat currency. But it still had gold and silver backed bills also from that time also. The Federal Reserve is a private banking consortium owned mostly by foreigners and is not owned by our government. It orders the treasury department to print money into circulation. The Federal Reserve printed fiat currency wildly and to what would become the "roaring 20's" was caused by it. In 1929 they abruptly tightened the money supply in a huge way. It stopped everything and caused the stock market to crash. And even with money supply eased the economy had a difficult time starting up. Notice how easy we went into the first world war and all wars after. The foreign owners of the Federal Reserve were still partying for getting control of the official currency of what was to become the greatest country in the world when they got us into WW 1. None of us know what it would be like to live under a gold and silver backed dollar. Fiat currencies have great growth potential. But also great drops. The Federal Reserve Act was supposed to stop recessions, depressions and severe stock market problems. They promised.
