Not only are they not helping out, they are in talks with Iran to have their ships pass unmolested.Trump called on Nato allies to support his Iran war - else they "will face a very bad future".
Merz answered this is not a Nato matter and Germany will not enter the war. He added that they don´t have the means to do so, anyway.

"As reported, Macron previously said that France could take part in an international "protective" mission to escort merchant ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump said he had spoken with Macron about the issue.
