To me, it depends on why an employee ends up going so far in the first place. In my opinion when a customer becomes too much of a disturbance and the law can't get there soon enough, the manager has a responsibility to not just their employees, but the other customers too, especially if they want the other customers to keep coming back.It’s amazing that no guns were used

Waiting for the cops to show could also mean too many attacked people one way or another which is where the lawsuits would then enter the picture. Anyone who thinks that the employees and legitimate customers of a business are not worth the defense can go suck an egg for all that I care.
