Centrism is an attitude of "Both sides are bad and I am automatically morally superior for thinking so." It's basically a mixture of apathy, narcissism, and a fear of being wrong. They are people who don't take a real position on any issue, and their stance is simply whatever the opposite of their target du jour happens to be.
