Of all the Republicans trying to unseat Trump, Ramaswamy was the one most obviously campaigning to be the running mate. As a VP candidate, he would have a lot of appeal to the young voters that Trump will need to get to the polls on election day. My issue with him as VP, is that Trump is pretty old, and the Democrats would do anything to get rid of him if he were elected. I do mean anything.

Is Ramaswamy ready to take over on January 21st, 2025, inauguration day being January 20th? I guess nobody really ever is, but Ramaswamy in particular, would be lost if that happened. He would have no choice but to be run, as Joe Biden is, instead of running the country. I think Trump knows that, so Vivek will have to settle for transportation secretary, or some other job you give to a nonentity that you owe a political favor to. It's not like Ramaswamy has a huge block of voters to bring with him, or that they won't vote Trump if their man isn't second on the ticket.
