We saw the same political violence during the rise of the fascist right during the first half of the 20th Century.
And the fascist right today resorts to the same political violence and intimidation – Trump’s advocacy of such violence renders him a fascist thug.
We saw even more political violence from the Left during that first half of the 20th Century;
Communist revolution in Russia, 1917 onward.
Communist revolution in China 1949 onward (more like started in 1920s).
Communist revolution in Korea, post 1945.
Communist revolution in SouthEast Asia, c. 1920s onward.
Communist side in Spanish Civil War, 1930s.
Communist insurrections in Greece, Italy and other parts of post WWII Europe, 1945 onward.
I could add more to the list, but haven't the time to waste.
Then there would be more also for the second half of the 20th Century.
Sorry Komrade Charlie, but the Left, especially in the name of Communism=International Socialism has been the major source of political based violence during all of the 20th Century (and continues now) and tens of millions of deaths.
Trump and the USA 'Right' do not advocate violence for political means, but we are prepared for self-defense against the ongoing and continuous "Political Violence" which has been the trademark of the political Left for about a century and a half now.
