VIOLENCE: Republican promises “bullets not ballots” if Trump loses in 2024

Exactly. They have bought into Trump’s “Big Lie” to the point they cannot recognize reality. I think millions of rational, realistic and even cynical independents “who didn’t like or vote for Hillary” — like both you and I — understand we must now fight “the Trump Party.”

We may not “love Biden” or the DNC — we may even despise them & despise both parties & the games professional politicians play — but we recognize the immense danger the moronic yet cunning demagogue and megalomaniac Donald Trump still represents to our nation.
The country simply hasn't faced this before, and in response, people from across the political spectrum are fighting it.

I'd love to get back to voting third party, but not as long as this thing is breathing.

Pretty much anyone in any sort of republican leadership position is nothing more than a stochastic terrorist at this point.

They all belong in jail.

So what do you consider just punishment for uttering a constitutionally protected opinion?

.

But the Dem Assholes did not influence violence to overthrow an election with an attack on the nation's capital.

Neither did anyone else, lying propagandist

That is the difference. The perps of those major Dem city should and in many cases did face charges, though not enough, Still, that has nothing to do with whether it could ever be justified to attempt to overthrow a national election after losing in the recounts, challenges, court fights, the state house, and the electoral college they wanted to stop, so that fake electors could be put into the mix.

It has EVERYTHING to do with all that.

Sorry, no one's going to let you wish that away.

More likely people are drying their ammo for the next time it happens.

Those people were traitors, some willingly led, others, in on the planning, leadership and orchestration for the trump campaign and apparatus.
Bla bla bla.

Heard all that commie propaganda before.

Total load of bullshit from a bunch of complete asswipes.

Did they make it to storming and smashing into the Capital? No. I didn't like or vote for Hillary either, but that campaign did not go to the lengths of the Anti-American J6 Trumpers.

BULLSHIT

That was the beginning of it.

Piss tapes. Illegal spying. Lying for warrants. Scurrilous charges. Attacks on family and friends. The whole 9 yards.

Hey - your game, your rules.

This stuff is going to bite you in the ass. Bigly.

Don't be such a trumper party stooge.

It has nothing to do with Trump, you idiot.

I think Huckabee's prediction is valid. And it's a warning, not a threat. If the Democrats win, and their win is perceived (or spun successfully) to be a direct result of the Trump prosecutions, it will do irreparable harm to the nation. The only way out, at this point, is for Democrats to wake the **** up and nominate someone the whole country can get behind - instead yet another partisan angler looking to "transform" society.
Why does it always fall to the Dems to be the responsible party that always must bail us out?

They haven't done that yet, so I'm not sure what you mean. We need consensus leadership. Not "elections have consequences".

I think we agree on the problem, but I don't get the call to "outlaw political parties", or even what that means. I don't even see how it would be possible. Are we seriously going to prohibit people from pooling their efforts to get candidates they like elected?

Pooling resources is fine. So is gathering and campaigning. But there is no need for separate primaries etc.

It is ridiculous to imagine we can “abolish parties.” That would only be possible as a stage setting up a fascist or communist or military one-faction or one-man authoritarian system.

The question of primaries organized by the states is a different question. My “old fashioned” preference is for the states not to be involved in political primaries at all, or at most “rent out” their electoral services if a party is big and wants to use them.

If parties are ever to be genuine and better serving “the people as a whole” … we will need less corporate and big money controlling them. We will need a better and more civilly conscious electorate too! And we will need “ranked choice voting” and probably “multi-district selection” of representatives to Congress with party proportional winners selected too.

I prefer a Parliamentary-like system, but of course we need to work within the parameters of our Constitution for now — which does not mean that we cannot have real electoral reforms.

Could be, but at least we will still get to vote for who we want in or out, and have it count, whether the whiney crybaby losers such as Trump and his little minion like it or not, instead of it being decided by the loudest violent assholes. Hillary truly sucked, but even she conceded defeat when it was certain she had lost and didn't try to overthrow the election, the incoming government, and the Constitution of The United States. Nobody gives a rat's ass about the 2016 election, here in 2023. But, here you are again with that crap. That was back in 2016. You assholes can't even win or lose graciously with any style or civility. All you trumpian mother f#ckers need to shut the f#ck up and crawl back in your holes. The orange piece of crap isn't going to get elected this time either, but at least Washington will be protected, if you assholes try it again.
Have a nice day!:fu:

You're pretty fucked up.

You have a bad case of TDS.

You have a bad case Brown Ring-Neck Fever from having your head up your ass. Trump has no chance. You and the other dumbasses will simply take the Republican Party down the tubes, losing and taking other Republican candidates with you, finishing off that once fine party, and guaranteeing 4 more years of Joe.

You just suggested that the Dems should put up a more likeable candidate. Why?
If Joe is that bad then the Republicans should put up a more likeable candidate to beat him.
There is no consensus to be had with the Republicans the way they currently exist.

Exactly who did he encourage? All I saw was a very general statement of an opinion.
