You're reacting a bit hysterically. What evidence do you have that she tried but did not succeed to murder him? I would understand if in your opinion you believe that she may have committed vehicular assault, however the penalty for vehicular assault is NOT summary execution.

Hitting him with her SUV, after her wife saif "drive baby drive" with the officer directly in front of the vehicle is reason enough to think that she intended to run him down.

The officer did not give her a "penalty." The officer defended himself. if the death penalty were to be completely banned in this country self-defense would still be a legal option.

The penalty for rape is not death either, but a woman has a right to shoot an assailant to avoid being raped, I'm sure you would agree?

Bumping him with her car may have pissed him off but it seems as if he was already in the shooter ready position when her vehicle made contact with him versus drawing his weapon AFTER she bumped him with her vehicle.

My guess is that he drew his weapon as soon as the wife yelled "drive baby drive." He tried to deter her from taking an action that was bound to be fatal one of them.

Question: in situations in which protesters lay down on the road to block cars to show their displeasure with global warming and whatnot, am I allowed to simply run over them? What if they are standing in front of my car? Can I just bump them out of the way?
