It's pretty scary, but true: People do not want the Truth

I try to only post what I know to be the truth, and people reject it, ridicule it, dismiss it, just because it is not their truth.

Well, as we know, there is objective truth and there is subjective truth. The latter is the truth that you believe or some other human being believes to be the truth. The former is TRUTH, period.

So 1 plus 1 is always going to be 2, like it or not

But people are not objective about religious truth. When they have found a religion they are comfortable in, they refuse to listen to anyone else who disagrees with the tenets of that religion. Now, frankly, I just do not understand that. But then again, I have done a lot of searching and it looks like most others have not. Sorry to sound like a snob but that's my reality, that is what I have observed on this forum and in life in general.

And we wonder why there is so much division. I can understand Republicans not wanting to have a close association with liberals. That makes total sense to me because libs are into subjective truth and Republicans.. not so much.

But generally speaking, it looks like people just believe what they want to believe..

Yes, I know.. you will say "the same can be said about you [Forkintheroad]. Really? Well, again, maybe you who say that are more into subjective truth ("I just believe what I believe because it seems to fit me" or whatever).

I have searched out many religions and only the Catholic one makes sense. The thing that most makes sense is that Jesus said His Church would not fail, and yet all but the Catholics say that the Original did fail.. it went underground at some point in history or what have you. But Jesus said it would not fail. The only Church that goes back to the beginning of Christianity is the Catholic Church.. In the fist century we hear of Eucharist, confession to a priest and all other things Catholic.

No other "church" can claim that. So tell me.. Why are people rejecting the Truth? It's because they choose to believe what they want to believe. That will get you into Hell.

I love all these studies that show that a drink a day makes you live longer, then we get told you'll die from using alcohol based mouthwash.

People will literally do studies that tell you what you want to hear.

The physicist, setting up an experiment on radiation, decides beforehand which of those sets of properties he will encounter. If he does a wave experiment, he gets a wave answer; if he does a particle experiment he gets a particle answer. To this degree, all physical observation is subjective.

Some have suggested that the beast that was, and is not, and yet is refers to the Catholic church losing their political power such as when they used to execute those who they considered heretics because of their political clout. Some believe that the losing of that political power is where the beast went from being the beast that was to the beast that is not, but that in the future they will again regain political power and ascend out of the bottomless pit to force its religious rule upon all.

Get your facts straight. You don't know anything about the Catholic Church. I wonder if you know much of anything, period. Then someone who does know what the CC is about, has been a lifelong member thereof comes along and you still don't open your mind.. Nope.. closed like a steel trap.

So yeh, it is the VATICAN that is corrupt and heretical and evil but the Vatican was taken over 65 years ago by anti-Christs. It does NOT belong to the Catholics anymore.

I heard somewhere from a Trad Catholic that the 7 kings mentioned in Revelation were 7 fake popes and that we have gone through all 7 now, Benedict being the 7th. He said Francis wasn't one of the 'kings' but can't recall why.
Just looked this up: Francis not part of that kingdom bc he was not validly ordained. The modern ordinations are not valid bc they don't conform to the OLD Rite, which was not supposed to be altered like V2 altered it. (I'm not saying I am 100% behind this analysis/theory..)

Who knows? I don't know what to believe but it makes sense because, one thing I do know with absolute certainty is that the last popes following Pius XII do and say things that no REAL pope would say or do. THAT, I know. Therefore, they are not real popes. So according to the trad Catholic aforementioned, we've already got our anti-Christ.. or something like that. God knows..

Is not the Pope the "Vicar of Christ" and as such is he not viewed as one who speaks for Christ? If the Vatican is not the priesthood leadership of your church then why do they still hold power and influence? Why do Catholics honor and give him adherence? Are you a disaffected Catholic? Just as Jesus called Apostles and Prophets in his church to lead and administer his gospel, so too the Catholic Church looks to the Pope and those who are with him in the Vatican to lead and administer the gospel in the Catholic Church. But you are telling me that they are corrupt and heretical and evil. So if they are apostate, then who is taking over their apostate position? Would not this mean that the Catholic church is in a state of apostacy? If the Pope is a fallen "Vicar of Christ", would not this mean that the Catholics are now without a "Vicar of Christ"? Has the priesthood of Christ been lost in the Catholic Church? Have they lost the authority to act in the name of Jesus Christ? It is my belief that this has been the state of the Catholic Church since its inception. I don't believe they ever really held the priesthood of God and that they have been a false Christian church since its inception. Many historical facts tend to point to this conclusion such as indulgences and putting to death those who did not agree with their doctrines and labeling them heretics. Your declaration that the Vatican is corrupt, heretical, and evil leads me to believe you are a protestant who holds onto the name of the Catholic Church.

You need to read my past posts and read up on the Sedevacantists. I'm not going to try to answer all the Qs in this post of yours until you do that because there is NO guarantee it will make a dime's worth of difference.
