Yet Texas has a higher murder rate than Illinois does.
We used to have sensible gun laws in Chicago. Then the National Rampage Association challenged it in court, and the gun industry dumped a bunch of guns into the city.
Here's the thing. Everyone they catch involved in a shooting will go to prison.

But to the point, I lived my first 25 years (less military service) in Chicago, then in Cicero (A pretty rough neighborhood), then Mt. Prospect, then Itasca, and then where I live now, (which I won't disclose because some of you people are weird.)
