You compare this to other nations who, if they DO change, will gain on the U.S but currently are well behind on principle.

If people in America, Britain, Canada, Germany, France etc. have civil liberties violated it is greatly in the benefit both morally and economically, among other benefits; for these nations to hold to account any violators. The Goodwill America has built up around the globe is unmatched. It shouldn't be weakened to benefit any party or short term objective.

Which is why I reached out to the highest office in the U.S, human right organizations, your State Department etc. Every leader you have in the U.S cares more about accountability, transparency and civil liberties than Canadian politicians do, especially at the state and municipal level vs our provinces and municipalities.

You are under some big misconceptions. US government officials obviously care little about civil liberties. They ignore and violate the Constitution constantly. Hence, they are criminals. They may be slightly better than your government officials, but that means almost nothing.

The Empire I love has protected more liberty and freedom around the world than any other. I agree, it's a dirty business at times, but each nation that has been an ally of America has been in a better place domestically and otherwise than ANY other nations.
