Cuba says 32 "citizens" killed in U.S. raid to arrest Venezuela’s Maduro

Venezuela was the linchpin in a whole bunch of things going on.

Drug trafficking, human trafficking, weapons trafficking, money laundering, corruption, sanctions evasion, facilitating an invasion of Tren de Aragua gang members into the US, many of whom committed murders, robberies, extortion, kidnapping, and hostile takeovers of apartments.

And this is only what Venezuela has done to us. What the Maduro regime has done to its own people is far more horrific, including imprisonment, torture, murder, running over protesters with armored vehicles, and creating a severe humanitarian crisis, leading over 8 million Venezuelans to flee the country.

And the left is bitching.

Caine was asked if Trump had gone to Congress, would he have voted for it.
Cain stated that he wouldn't have voted for it.
I'm sure if it had been Biden or Obama, he would have voted for it.
We have a corrupt democrat party, and it's transparent with their motives.

Since when does an arrest warrant give you authorization to kill random people?

When they have guns and stand in the way of you arresting the person in the warrant. These were armed security forces, not random innocent people standing around. Maduro was on a military base at the time.

But you likely knew all of this when you asked the question.

If Trump had gone to Congress the operation would have been leaked to the media. American soldiers would have died, and the left would have had more leverage to exploit against Trump.

They truly don't care about dead Americans, as long as they can make people think it was Trump's fault.

No you don't.

You're standing strong with Putin (and the Ayatollah) right now in support of Maduro.

This is who your friends are now.
Very childish post. Did you piss yourself like a toddler too?

While I agree with you, the next question is do they know who was firing at them and for what reason. Did the military give them the opportunity to standdown or did they go in guns a blazing? If this were purely a military operation I would agree with you than no notice of any kind is necessary. If it were a law enforcement operation then you have to ask yourselves were these people given the opportunity to surrender and hand over their weapons. If not, why not?.

That's not how a military operation works. American forces encountered significant resistance from Venezuelan air defenses and ground forces. Helicopters carrying the U.S. apprehension force were fired upon as they approached the target compound in Caracas.

No U.S. service members were killed in the operation, but several were injured with bullet and shrapnel wounds. One U.S. helicopter was hit by fire but remained flyable and returned safely to base. According to Venezuelan and Cuban officials, at least 80 people were killed in the U.S. operation, including Venezuelan soldiers, civilians, and Cuban military/intelligence personnel.

When the US military is fired upon, they generally reciprocate with equal or greater force.

Thank you for that information.

These questions are based on naivete. This was a Delta Force snatch and grab. They don't stop and ask people to surrender. Any wasted time is time that can get our own people killed. Did the Seal Team 6 ask Bin Laden's people to kindly step aside? I honestly can't believe you people are asking these questions.

Generally, when you send in Seal Team 6 I would consider that a military operation not law enforcement. At any rate, based on what I have learned, they were fired on so my question is moot. They did what they had to do. End of story.

Who the **** cares. This operation got their target, and with no US dead.

There is no such thing as a fair fight. There is only winning, or dying.

During the old days immediately prior to 9/11, there were distinct divisions between the military and law-enforcement, much so between governmental agencies. Over a period of time throughout the Global War on Terror, government and law-enforcement began to realize the severity of the threats we were facing, and started to create a more seamless integration between the military and law-enforcement. This has brought about and environment where they can now communicate with each other, share intelligence, and cooperate with each other during the planning and execution of missions we just saw.

Those deaths are from fentanyl which none comes from Venezuela.
I don't care what comes from VZ, even if it is crack cocaine and other stuff, it is an illegal; narcotic trade injuring or hurting millions of people.

I am glad Maduro is out of power, he was a bad dude. However, it was an illegal act and they didnt consult congress.
Consult congress for what? So that it can be endlessly tied up forever? If Congress was going to act, where have they been all these years? Beside, the president has authority to protect us and enforce our laws and Maduro was a 15 year criminal trading in illegal oil against embargoes with our enemies, fueling the illegal drug trade and who knows what else.

No one needs permission from a congress (half of which probably are paid to protect Maduro) in order to follow common sense protection of the American people.

Maduro is an innocent man, a man of god, who has been taken unfairly from his home country and imprisoned by the tyrannical USA. He is just a poor target of that bully Trump minding his own business, and he has said so in a NY court and every good democrat on the planet it here to defend him and get him off.

Maybe he can get off on good behavior with just cleaning up some trash paper in Central Park for six weeks. :smoke:

Not to worry. The rest of them will probably be deployed to die in Ukraine. That hellhole is like the "Roach Motel" for Cubans.

Cubans check in, but they don't check out...

So US Forces just killed a dude from Cuba in Venezuela that was previously killing Ukranians for Russia.

Liberals should be celebrating Trump

Their brains would short circuit and melt if they tried to give him some kind of credit for anything.

Legal and convenient may not be the same thing. Trump had no authority to kidnap a bad guy from another country. Might doesnt make right. There was a legal way to do that but it wasnt convenient.

So basically, commit any crime you want then hide out in your own country forever and be free right? Maduro was an international criminal not recognized as the legal, official leader of VZ by countries the world over that even Biden had a bounty on his arrest for and the police finally came and got him. Now, he will pay for his crimes.

Might doesnt make right.
Might doesn't make wrong neither.

There was a legal way to do that but it wasnt convenient.
Sure, we've all seen the "legal" process: say the right stuff but never do nothing. Sorry, chump, there is a real man in town now and Trump will have his pound of flesh, from Maduro, from China, and from you.
