It'd be over in 24 hours....or less. But go ahead and try...dopes, your funerals.
Venezuela Declares Its Military ‘Fully Prepared’ for War with U.S.
Breitbart: Senior Venezuelan socialist official Diosdado Cabello claimed in an interview Sunday his country is “fully prepared” for a war with the United States.
There is little evidence to support Cabello’s claims. Instead, countless reports detail the growing disaffection and dropout rates among troops, many whose salaries fail to cover basic living resources such as food and medicine. Some soldiers have tried to launch low-level coups and rebellions, although such efforts have so far proved unsuccessful.
Venezuela Declares Its Military ‘Fully Prepared’ for War with U.S.
Next you’ll tell us war with Venezuela would pay for itself with oil and the people would welcome us as liberators
Not a chance. I don't want to have anything to do with Venezuela. Venezuela serves as a global example of what happens when poor people vote for socialism, under the belief it will make them richer.
Instead, it makes poor, poorer. If you look at everything Hugo Chavez promised, it reads like a Bernie Sanders campaign speech.
And as sad as it is, the people of Venezuela wanted this, begged for this, demanded this, and now they got it. I don't want prevent them from learning the harsh lesson of socialism, that they inflected on themselves. Time to take responsibility.
All left-wingers should notice that every time they sound like Chavez, and demand what he offered, they are accepting that Venezuela is the future of the US.
The idea that we can walk the same path, and not have the same result, is insanity.
Venezuela went down because the price of oil collapsed and that was their only industry. You seem to be claiming that soending like a lunatic is what got them into trouble, yet you celebrate Trump despite each of his first 2 years as President topping 7 of Obama’s 8 years of spending.
No, I don't support Trump's overspending. He made some very good policies, that I applaud, and some very bad policies like Protectionism and over spending.
As Venezuela....
Excuse making is all that Chavez, and now Maduro have done their entire time in control. Now you are making excuses for them as well.
No, Oil was not their only industry, although it might be now.
Venezuela was a net exporter of food, all over south America. Now they can't even feed themselves, and can't even afford to import food.
Venezuela also was a manufacturer of cars, and exported those cars across south America. Now barely 3,000 cars were sold in the entire nation, and best we can tell, few car manufacturers are still operating at all.
Venezuela also had a large heavy industry, steel and aluminum and so on. Most of that has dwindled as well.
Tire factories, soda factories, textiles. Everything has withered away, under the nationalization and protectionism of the socialist ideology.
This isn't the first time this has happened.
During the late 1980s, as oil prices fell, the country was growing under economic liberalization headed by Perez.
But the public demanded more government programs, which meant more government control, and taxes. The economy crashed yet again in the 1990s, which lead to Chavez, which instituted a dramatically larger douse of the poison that killed the economy to begin with.... and the result is what we see today. A country flush with oil, that can't even turn on the lights, or feed so much as an infant.
