Vegas Employer: Obama Won–So I Fired 22 Employees

I wonder what the wing nuts are going to do other than applaud job losses? Are they still wondering why McCain got more votes than Romney in light of their sick behavior?

So, what explains your punk getting more votes in 2008 than 2012? His sick behavior?

Yet Romney got 3 million votes less.

Imagine that.

The great white hopeless.

Romney got 3 million less votes than McCain did in 2008? Uhmmmm, no he didn't.

In 2008, McCain got 59,934,814 votes and, in this election, Romney so far has got 58,805,492. That's 1,129,322 votes less than McCain got in 2008.

Additionally, in 2008, Oblamer got 69,456,897 votes. In this election, he got 62,154,863. That's 7,302,034 less in this election than he got in the 2012 election.

And, if you're saying Romney got 3 million less than Oblamer? So, McCain got 9.5 million less than Oblamer. Quite a bit less of a margin of victory in the popular vote for ol' Oblamer this time 'round...eh?

It was 3 million more than he needed... more than that actually, considering he didn't even need to win the popular vote to be elected.

So, anecdotally, we have some anonymous guy in Vegas claiming he's laying off 22 people, and at the same time, we have a real company bringing 100 jobs to Las Vegas.

The net would be a 78 job gain.

Thank you President Obama!

Oh boy!! 100 $8 an hour jobs with no benefits.

That'll go a long way.....

True, but the poster I was responding to before you jumped into the fray (candycorn) was the one making an issue about how many popular votes it was McCain got in 2008 as opposed to the popular votes Romney got in the 2012 election. Maybe you ought to follow along with the conversation before you decide to jump in on a conversation.

Yeah, this makes enormous sense. Go ahead and boycott them. Then, these organizations will be forced to take more proactive measures than simply cutting back hours. Like, just simply letting the employees go all together. LOL! Talk about biting off these employees' noses, to spite YOUR face.

This makes about the most stupid sense I've ever witnessed in my life. You're upset because these organizations have to cut back employees' hours because they can't afford to pay for their Obamacare and, your solution is, get them laid off or fired because then, these organizations can't afford to pay their employees?

I am pretty sure we have purged everyone from our organization who even looks like they could have possibly voted Democrat.

There is that rather effeminate looking guy in purchasing in Cleveland we have our eye on, however. Just found out he drives a Prius.

Because 78 job gain is such a HUGE number. :

It's bigger than the 22 this lame-ass thread was based on.

The point is you are posting 2008 counts like they're somehow relevant.

You claim that 3 million less votes for Romney is relevant, yet 7 million less for O'Blamer isn't?

Strange world you occupy...

Of course I do. What results decide an election, the results from one's opponent during the year of the election or the candidate's historical results?

Derp.

Historical results are only good for mental masturbation of the opposing party. They. Are. Irrelevant.

This will happen all over the nation. It's going to get ugly.

Vegas Employer: Obama Won–So I Fired 22 Employees
November 7, 2012 6:09 PM
LAS VEGAS (CBS Las Vegas) — A Las Vegas business owner with 114 employees fired 22 workers today, apparently as a direct result of President Obama’s re-election.

“David” (he asked to remain anonymous for obvious reasons) told Host Kevin Wall on 100.5 KXNT that “elections have consequences” and that “at the end of the day, I need to survive.”

Here’s an excerpt from the interview. Click the audio tab below to hear even more from this compelling conversation:

“I’ve done my share of educating my employees. I never tell them which way to vote. I believe in the free system we have, I believe in the right to choose who they want to be president, but I did explain as a business owner that I have always put my employees first. I always made sure that when I went without a paycheck that made sure they were paid. And I explained that I always put them first and unfortunately I’m at a point where I’m being forced to have to worry about me and my family now and a business that I built from just me to 114 employees.

Didn't anyone tell this anonymous caller that the healthcare provision doesn't kick in until 2014?

He has to fire employees NOW??? lol, this story doesn't pass the smell test. Kind of like all of the rightwingers around here.

He wouldn't have made news if he waited until everybody else started doing it.

It never ceases to amaze me that parasites, leaches and ticks on the ass of society think they have something in common with me or share common goals because they have similar incomes. Corporations set their prices according to the laws of supply and demand. Any other theory about how they do it is invariably based on some flavor of Mraxism.

Meaningless twaddle. Government workers make more on average than the people who pay their salaries. Your lame attempt to justify that isn't fooling anyone.

Prices rise because government finances its operations by rolling the printing presses. Private corporations have nothing to do with it.

Government has demonstrated over and over that it produces an inferior product at a vastly inflated price. Economists have understood the mechanism for this result for centuries. The market is responsible for all the wealth and technical wonders we enjoy today. Government only spread poverty.

Not true, and the lie is BASED on a lie.

Genesis

Reagan‘s twenty-five percent federal tax cut caused a considerable addition to the federal deficit, and an almost twenty percent rise in foreign investment on that debt that led to higher large dollar holdings and an unfavorable trade imbalance.

While Reagan blamed the deficits on Congress, conservative pundits convinced many in society to blame union labor when factories moved to other countries. In reality, ninety-five percent of the reason for the deficits was high defense spending and Reagan‘s refusal to raise taxes to pay for it.162 In 1982, the deficit was 90 billion dollars, and by 1987 it totaled 283 billion dollars. The shortfall of revenue required the US to borrow money, which raised interest rates. The higher interest rates attracted foreign investment, which caused the value of the dollar to rise out of any proportion to its actual worth. As the dollar skyrocketed, imports became cheaper than products made by American labor, and the trade imbalance became even more disproportionate as foreign markets could not afford American made goods at the inflated dollar value either.

These circumstances were what compelled many American businesses to relocate to third-world countries in search of low wage labor platforms. Not the demands for decent working conditions and reasonable increases in wages by unions, not regulations that prohibited industry from urinating in our common well, and not a tax code that billed the wealthiest among us at very reasonable rates for services rendered.

And the beat goes on, NOT because of liberals who want to reward small businesses here who act decently and play fair, while removing government protections and restricting government handouts TO corporations THAT (rather than who) offshore their factories and marry their profits elsewhere. Companies THAT do so in order to avoid their fair share for the infrastructure that benefits them, entities that have NO biological need relating to WE, THE ACTUAL PEOPLE, and no allegiance to THIS nation.

It is increasingly hard to sympathize with people like you. Yes, you have a right to your opinion. Sill, those who think about these things, both on a practical level and an ideological one find such views to be poorly, nay, deplorably researched.

So where was the Obama crash?

With all the sore loser Republicans dumping employees in retaliation for Obama's victory....why did the unemployment rate drop to 7.7% in November?
