Vegans Charged With Murder for Allegedly Starving Toddler on Raw Food Diet

The left hate the fact we are omnivores.

LOL

Made myself a nice 20oz porterhouse last night. With a glass of red wine. A nice pinot noir. Who am I kidding? I had the whole bottle.

Had sauteed spinach over the top with roasted brussel sprouts.

Now, I am standing on my balcony, overlooking the Atlantic on a cloudy sort of cold day. I am now polluting the atmosphere as a result of the cruciferous vegetables I ate.

Smoking a cigar with a glass of brandy right now too.

If I PLAN on eating that, I usually have nothing all day until then. Sort of an intermittent fast....cause if I do have anything I am way too uncomfortable.

Also, I won't have a potato cause that also causes bloating.

Cooked greens I find does pretty well. I opted with brussel sprouts instead of broccoli.

Sometimes i make brocolli rabe.....over the top.

If you ever want to see "food porn" at its best, subscribe to almazan kitchen.

Here is an example. No talking.....just watch the whole thing. You'll see.

The reason why we have all different types of diets? It is because everyone wants to stay youthful like the way the people were doing before the deluge. But veganism isn't the way to the fountain of youth. Your body grows including the skin, just like the way our nails grow. And so we have to fill out our suit, evenly. But by us consuming more of this, but a little of that, can cause uneven growth. Like eating foods that will make your skin, nails and hair to grow. But leaving out foods that helps your muscle to grown that helps fill us out. That we will be walking around like a deflated tire. But sometimes, eating an imbalance meal can stunt the body's growth, but increases excessive amount of skin growth.. And it says in the Bible that we must workout for six days. And working out helps spread nutrient evenly throughout the body instead of going to a certain part of the body like the belly.
But then there are foods that clogs up arteries. And if these foods can clog up major vessels. That it is surely clogging up the smaller vessels like the capillaries that helps spread blood flow to your skin. Which it will cause age spot or blemishes and wrinkles if there's no blood to feed the cells.. And aspirins can help to make sure to unclog these vessels by thinning the blood so that it flushes the clogging substance down to the in of the line which it will come out of the pores. But at times the pores is block by dirt, that it will create a pimple.
But the foods that God told the Hebrews that they can eat. That it will prevent these problems so that they will not have to worry about wrinkles and blemishes. So that they will not have to go back to their old ways before the deluge.
Only God knows what the body needs.
But there is GMO foods that God didn't create. That it clogs up arteries that brings on tumors or cysts throughout the body.

Because the food was inadequate to sustain life.
That is what is wrong with this story. Something isn't being reported. A vegan diet, even for a child, is adequate for all nutritional needs.
The child is obviously alive and thriving someplace m
Who said that? The title says that the child died. The attempt is to blame a diet on that death. The science doesn't back the attempt.

They did not feed the child enough...
True, and not enough variety

A Florida couple who fed their children only raw fruits and vegetables was charged Wednesday with murder for the death of their 18-month-old son, authorities said.

Ryan Patrick O’Leary, 30, and Sheila O’Leary, 35, were indicted by a Lee County grand jury on charges of first-degree murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter, child abuse, and two counts of child neglect, State Attorney Amira Fox said at a Wednesday press conference.

Just look at the photos of them in the article. Just look at the left wing woman. Nothing more annoying, more arrogant or dumber than a left wing woman. Then look at the schmuck guy she married.

Vegans folks. What losers.
Non-sequitur. Veganism isn't political, for one.

Second, what do most infants eat anyway? Baby food? Most of it is fruit or vegetable, and as far as I'm aware not many infants are eating rare steaks anway.

So the headline seems pretty ludicrous to me. I'd be interested in reading the actual legal case, rather than this sensationalist nonsense.

Do you even know how you get vitamin D?

Babies need fat and protein.
Fat and protein exist within the vegetable food group, such as in avocados.

Though I'm not aware of many babies who like avocados.

Thank you, it always makes me chuckle when people assume that meat is necessary in any way, shape or form. Not only is it completely unnecessary, but numerous studies have shown that a diet high in animal products raises the risk for preventable diseases like heart disease, cancer, diabetes, etc. So there is no need to eat a chopped up corpse, people do it because they want to, or just out of habit/tradition, end of story.

Also, there are LOTS of babies and young children who are raised fully plantbased, who are healthy, happy, normal kids. The anti-vegans on this thread are just speaking from sincere ignorance.

Here are just a few examples, off the top of my head.

Correct.

Most likely the couple were just forcing the child to eat something it didn't want to, and denying it any food at all if it refused.

"Eating vegetables or fruit" is obviously not what killed the kid, which the majority of baby food, other than maybe baby formula is to begin with - plant-based.

We would have had to see what happened if they had put their baby on a diet of rare steak, sugar soda, Tabasco sauce, and store-brand pork rinds instead.

The issue to me are the outrageous charges. The woman was likely malnourished herself, and pure fruits and vegetables will not sustain anyone indefinitely, but there was clearly no malice or I'll intent to justify MURDER charges. If thats what they intend to run with, she will be acquitted if there is any justice left in this country.

Well, you're partially right here.

it seems the 'know-it-alls' in this thread don't seem to get that we get all our micronutrients from the plant side of our diets. Meat and dairy provide almost no micronutrients unless they are fortified.

What you are wrong about, however; is that the only macronutrient we can live without. That actually is carbohydrate. Plants do provide some source of protein, but the human body processes animal protein best.

Americans are so unhealthy not because they eat meats, which do not cause the diseases that the studies claim (much of that has been debunked)., but because we are hooked on processed grains that have no nutrient value, and sugars.

Sugars are the single greatest poison we consume as a nation.

It amazes me that everyone seems to ignore the fact that the mother wasn't breastfeeding the baby. Someone said something about vitamin D. That too is provided in breastmilk along with exposure to the sun.

The key to a good diet is the balance of the two most important macros. Fat and Protein.

Both are required for us to get the essential micronutrients our bodies need to sustain ourselves.

A vegan diet is by far much healthier than a standard American diet full of sugar and bad carbs and all of the other fast food/process food garbage.

But you have to know what you're doing. You have to know what you need to consume in order to get all of your nutrients. And most vegans do. They know far more about nutrition than your average mcmac muncher.

People eating the standard American diet largely just swallow whatever numbered meal that's on special so no real need to actually study nutrients. The number 2 meal, The number 4 meal, or whatever. Which, ironically, is why so many look the way they do and why so many depend on diabetes shots and blood pressure pills and all sorts of other pharmaceutical products. It's a revolving circle between those two industries as well as the regulatory agencies themselves.

As far as breast milk. Every mammal on the planet weans their offspring from it after a while. It's a natural phenomenon.

The fact that humans think they should just move on to the milk from the breasts of another species of mammal when mom finally weans them off mothers milk is nothing more than social programming and marketing. Or perhaps the big boy just didn't feel like he was ready to be weaned from mothers milk yet. Even at thirty years old or so. Marketing and cultural tradition likely justifies it in his/her mind. It's weird stuff if you ask me.

I disagree with that. I believe that meat, red meat particularly, is a major cause of diabetes. What studies have been debunked? Debunked by whom?

Science is nothing more than asking more questions last I checked.

How does red meat cause diabetes when meat (a protein source with no carbohydrates) barely cause a rise in insulin production?

Type II diabetes is a disease in which the hormone insulin is hypersensitive to blood glucose. The excess consumption of carbohydrates causes insulin levels to rise so that the glucose in the bloodstream can be targeted for use as energy, or most often, stored as energy for later use. Since we, as a nation, consume so many carbohydrates, the blood glucose is always more than the body needs to burn. That means that insulin always acts as a door for storing fat.

When carbs (sugars) are kept to a minimum or eliminated completely, the insulin then acts in the opposite. The blood glucose is low or baseline and the insulin must then release the stored fat for the body to have energy.

Meat barely moves the insulin needle.
Fats do not move the insulin needle.

It has been shown in studies that the body will convert excess proteins to glucose, but then the liver quickly uses it up and then converts the rest to keystones.

Once the liver has detoxed from all the carbs and switches over to produce ketones, the body becomes more efficient at burning energy.

Since 1 gram of fat is 9 calories, you actually get more energy from fat than you do from carbs, which is only 4 calories per gram.

You didn't say whose studies. Who debunked the other studies? Can't just move on and skip the question. I'm willing to discuss it, but you have to tell us whose studies you're using to make your claim. Who debunked the other studies? What did they study? Did they study processed red meat, unprocessed red meat, there's all sorts of things involved with studies. How do you even debunk studies anyway?

Body chemistry is a really complex subject , because we are a complex creature

it elevates the whole 'you are what you eat' adage to a lotta lofty latin

Which the young are have far less resilience to

Babies breast fed from across the room gotta right to cry....
