It was predictable USMB would become a liberal site, after the demise of the reps system. Once you lose the spirit of capitalism, the enterprising and innovative ( profit and loss system ) which attracts the brightest and best posters, in my opinion, this is what's left. ( Did I say left? ) Few exceptions remain of interesting topics and posters. What attracts me minimally, anymore, are the website itself, with the pretty colors and some posters with whom I've spent 5 years of neighborly friendliness, both liberal and conservative. It's become a whimsical site, at best.

I have already answered most of mine as the diagnostic is quite easy enough.

A liberal reacts to the most illiberal ideology on the planet by pointing out all the myriad ways it opposes the secular humanist underpinnings of liberal political philosophy. A non-liberal defends it for no other reason than they expect they should be doing so.

Most of the posters on the left side of the spectrum exhibit the latter characteristic rather than the former. Identity politics and mindless adherence to political correctness trumps liberalism for most.
