USMB Coffee Shop IV

You would think Ginger tea is missing something since it is caffeine free. But once I tasted it, it hooked me.

Going back to our previous discussion on professional makeup vs the 'natural look', I saw this on X while ago and I wondered again if the caption is right? How many young men and women are demoralized because they don't look like people who can pay thousands for professional makeovers?

So boedicca is Mr. Boe back on the road to recovery? Hombre also had a setback and was admitted to the hospital yesterday--spent Wednesday night from about midnight in emergency until yesterday afternoon. Diagnosis pneumonia.

Don't know if he will be discharged today--he is feeling better. This recuperation and set backs are taking their toll on both of us. We don't heal or cope with it as easily as we used to, but I have every hope there are some years of good quality of life left.

THE VIGIL LIST

For all those with joys we rejoice, and we pray or send positive vibes and keep vigil for:

Harper, the inspiration for the vigil list. More surgeries ahead.
Ringel05 for continued wellness and his brothers' families for relief from adversity and illness.
Hombre & Foxfyre's son Mike for continued wellness
Beautress for health and wellness.
SFC Ollie for healing and wellness
Gracie for solutions and peace.
Mrs. Saveliberty for healing.
Oddball's mom for continued good health and healing.
And all our insomniacs having trouble getting a good night's sleep.
Ringel05's brother Dutch for successful treatment.
Happy Dances for Dajjal and his sister for successful outcomes.
Comfort and healing for Boedicca's Mr. Boe and Foxfyre's Hombre both recovering from surgery and also wisdom and peace for their caretakers.
And now Hombre's recovery from pneumonia.

And we keep the light on so those who have moved on to other places can find their way back. And we hope they do.

And always when our seas are the stormiest:

Barnies Regular Blend- 10 spoon Fulls in my percolator pot. It has a mild aroma and also a mild taste. I prefer stronger myself but it is a good after dinner coffee.☕ Since I had to get it online it was expensive.

Had never heard of Barnies coffee so looked it up and yes, looks really interesting but a bit too expensive for our budget. So we buy Folgers which is also expensive these days but not that expensive. We will give up steak in order to have coffee. :)

But welcome to the Coffee Shop lg325 . I think this is your first visit here--at least I didn't find you on the roster, but you're there now and we're happy you found us. Please read over the OP to see what we're all about in here and keep right on joining in. First timers receive a complimentary beverage:

:)☕🥤🧇🥓🍳 Good morning! Time to wake up! A little up beat tune to get us all going.

Love it! But those who appreciate it probably need to be of a certain vintage. I imagine the younger set can't appreciate that as good music anymore than I can find music in most of the stuff they listen to.

I am not catholic, but this is an interesting site for coffee. I guess it pulls in more than a Saturday Bakesale.:)👍

LOL I'm not Catholic either but I bet they would be quite happy to ship it to a Baptist or Methodist or some other kind of ist or ian or whatever. :) I'm like you though in that I like to try different blends just for the fun of it.
