Good morning all. 8:17am here, nice cool day my home filled with the aroma of coffee. House hold chores on the agenda .I just had the windshield replaced on my Ranger so I need to be careful using it for a day or two to let it set. Exercise before starting my day. I hope all here have a pleasant day.

I can recommend The Barnies brand of regular roast coffee and its English Tea. I was surprised. Too be honest I tried the brand at the request of a lady friend who has an investment in it. It is a good brand for those who do not mind spending the money. I am enjoying it now on this cold rainy morning. Barnies was before Starbucks and had stores all over but now are down to one in Winter Park Florida and sell online and at some grocery stores.

Tomorrow night, February 28, there will be a rare alignment of seven planets in the southwest sky though we'll need a telescope to see some of the furthest ones.. Here in Albuquerque this will happen--be visible--shortly after sunset. Mercury, Neptune and Saturn will all set shortly after the sun does so the viewing time for the whole alignment will be relatively brief.
Mars, Jupiter, and Venus all are usually visible to the naked eye, the others not so much. A good pair of binoculars might help but a telescope is our best best to see them all.

I hoped a photographer in Albuquerque would post how the planet alignment appeared last night, but can't find one. I did find this though:

I don't know why things like this fascinate me, but they do. From our neighborhood there was no clear view of the low southwest sky and light pollution was a problem. Admittedly to the naked eye not all that dramatic or even interesting. But it won't happen again anytime soon.

this is probably considered politics but i GOT to say this because i think it is soooooooooo funny,foxfyre are you sure i cant get you to change your mind and do some delayed cartwheels in celebration of trump winning?
by the way,this wont surprise you but the wanker AKA the lucky one is now at it again under ANOTHER sock,big surprise.

Heard the C word from my doc last week. It totally disoriented me to the point I forgot to go to work for 2 days. They were quite understanding as I hardly ever miss. I'm on disability right now. Have a bone scan tomorrow, if that's clean they proceed with surgery and claim I should be good to go for yrs.

So sorry MOTS so we will definitely hope you get a good report on the scan. The C word isn't so scary if they catch it early. Hombre has had to deal with it four times now involving three minor surgeries and two major surgeries and he is still good to go for years. So we'll definitely be sending those prayers and positive vibes for the best possible outcome for you.

Sorry my friend but definitely too political and inappropriate for the Coffee Shop. But thanks for being conscious that it might be. We want folks to be able to come here regardless of their political leanings and posts like that don't make a welcoming environment for all. What a great story!
Our local natural history and science museum has a small sort of restaurant that hires homeless people as staff. Many of those demonstrate work ethic, competence and ability to innovate and move on to better jobs. It has been a beautiful thing.
