‘U.S. Vice President JD Vance met AfD party leader Alice Weidel during a visit to Munich on Friday, nine days before Germany's election - but pointedly failed to meet with Germany's Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

During his visit he lectured European leaders about the state of democracy and said there is no place for “firewalls."

Mainstream German parties say they won’t work with the AfD party, because they regard it as far-right, as do most political scientists and most of Europe's media. Their stance is often referred to as a “firewall.” Polls put Alternative for Germany, or AfD, in second place going into the Feb. 23 election with about 20% support.

Weidel is the co-leader and candidate for chancellor of the anti-immigrant Alternative for Germany party, his office said.’

AfD is the neo-fascist right of Germany. Refusing to meet with the democratically elected Chancellor Olaf Scholz validates Vance’s fascist credentials; indeed, Vance prefers the company of fascists.

Scholz is on his way out. There would be no point.

Germany is in need of alternatives, I'd say, so the AfD party offers them something.

Looking at the failures of Germany, with Honneker, Hitler Merkel and the Kaiser, they should be looking to change their ways.

The more repeat the word 'fascist' the less power it holds. It's a good thing you loons never learn. We've seen this silliness before with 'racist', 'white supremacist', and all your other petty insults. How'd that work out for you?

You guys really need to drop that narrative considering the many times you bitches repeat words like socialist, marxist, and communist

Really? Prominent liberals like Bernie, AOC, and other squad members proudly proclaim their Marxist roots and support for socialism. They even hire self proclaimed communists, like that clown Obama did. You might want to rethink this.

Nazis gonna nazi, you know.

Scholz seemed to take offense about some of Vance's comments so maybe Scholz shunned Vance. The left (typically) has it backwards to try to make an anti-American political point.
