US-Veterans being shit on by their own country?

I have seen and read a fair share of stories about US veterans getting dumped either during deployment or when returning home.

Military vet gets abused, no one cares.

Adultery

Disrespect.

Other messed up stories of military spouses and how the army treats them afterwards.

Imagine coming from a senseless war that you failed, only to find out your wife is fucking another man and maybe even have his kids pinned on you.
I never knew the US was this dysfunctional. Now the US government is provoking a war against Russia as well.

Question to all former, current and potential US soldiers here: Is this the country you want to fight and die for? Do you really want to go into another war with that energy?

If my country would drive me to financial ruin after being a victim of adultery, i would certainly not join my army either.
Then again, a Turkish colleague of mine, who was once stationed at Fort Knox with the Turkish Armed Forces at the time, told me about these stories too. Low energy recruits and once in a while you see a recruit loosing it over a cheating girlfriend. Their Commander once joked, so he quotes, "Americans have so little self-respect, you could fuck their wives and openly laugh about it to their face".

At least we're not being sent off to "liberate" some country infested with "Nazis", and being incinerated on the battlefield, in mobile crematoriums. It's a shame that so many Russian mothers and fathers will never know what happened to their sons.

Russia has mobile crematoriums that ‘evaporate’ dead soldiers: report

The American military has never failed.

American political leaders have. Time and again. And military members get shit on by ignorant people who don't know the difference.

We've had our disappointments, thanks to communist influence in our political system: The Korean War and Vietnam to name two. But for the most part, our military makes the Russian military look like a troop of girl scouts on a camping expedition.

About 15,000 Soviet soldiers killed and about 35,000 wounded in the 10-year Soviet-Afghan War and close to the same number of dead Russians in Ukraine in only a matter of months.

Apparently that big scary Russian bear is toothless. :laughing0301:

I'm disappointed. I really thought the story would lead to it all being Biden's fault. Bloody hell. I'm gutted.

An American General and a Russian General were arguing over MRE's. The Russian General said, "Our field rations supply our soldiers with 1,500 calories a day."

The American General said, "That's nothing. Our MRE's supply each solider 3,500 calories per day".

The Russian General said, "THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! No one can eat a whole bag of potatoes in one day!".
YOU are crazy , who ´d provide a Muscovite solder with a whole bag of potatoes?

originally "THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! No one can eat 20 kilograms of radish haulm

Not interested in your propaganda.

Here is the thing, though.

Primarily, that kind of abuse comes from Leftists. You know, the kind that love Socialism, Communism, and Russia as well as the Soviet Union. And who see anybody that does not love them as "Fascists".

"Getting dumped"? I get it, you mean their spouses were cheating on them. Were you born yesterday? Legendary Marine general Chesty Puller said it best partially in jest, "If the Marines wanted you to have a wife they would have issued you one".

At least we tell our soldiers where they're going and are able to have food for them to take with them
My son was in the initial invasion of Iraq. He was a Cav Scout and at the front. His squadron out ran the supply lines. He had one MRE that he had to share with another trooper for three days.

Unlike the Russians with the Ukrainians they didn't steal any food from the Iraqis but they did offer to buy some.

Of course once the supplies caught up they had plenty.

I suspect the drama that you see with the love life of young soldiers is not all that different than the demographics across the board for that age group.
