Teachers have been getting part time pay for full time work for about century.
Nonsense. Teachers are paid exactly what they are worth. They also know from the day they enroll in the School of Education (easiest of all) at any university precisely what their pay and benefits will be upon graduation.
I am glad you told us in advance that you would be posting nonsense.
Why did my retirement contribution get changed? Why did I find that when I switched states I would lose my social security?
Why did I find that in some schools I was not paid for required activities outside normal working hours? Why did my coaching stipend get cut constantly?
BTW, I graduated from college in 1984. I was not an education major like everyone assumes most teachers are. I did not become a teacher until 1996. No one told me the state would implement a requirement for me to have a Master's degree in order to keep my job, although I already had one.
So much for your assumptions.
