Our intervention is stupid, and I have deep reservations about the whole situation (Obama should have gone to Congress first IMO), but taking every accusation that was thrown at Bush and lobbing it at Obama is no more than "Oh yeah, I know you are but what am I" elementary school bullshit.

I think the argument that will be used is that there wouldn't be enough time. I personally think it would of been better off if the GOP used their emergency session to talk about this instead of trying to get rid of federal funds for NPR before going on vacation.

It wasn't the GOP's decision. This is an executive action under the WPA. Therefore Obama should have had the courtesy to go to congress to present his case. GOP has nothing to do with it.

Not enough time? How long has Libya basically been in revolt? After the UN resolution was passed Obama should have gone to congress and had a vote on whether to authorize force. At least Bush extended that courtesy.

Unless Obama brings it to the table, there's no reason to have any emergency session on it. It was up to Obama to bring it to congress. Not for congress to talk about it independent of the President.
