Gee, I would have described them as having had unbelievably fantastic patience and control, and more discipline than most any cop I've ever met to try to somehow diffuse a situation from a bunch of unhinged crazies hellbent on forcing a fatal confrontation like they were some kind of brainwashed zombie automatons or something.

The blame lays 100% with their organizers and financiers who engineered the event which seem to include the city mayor, the governor and some organization from south America, who paid mindless idiots and told them who knows what on where to stand and when to show up and what to say and do because it was no accident that some lesbian and hospital intern just happened to know where to show up and when to obstruct a legal immigration-enforcement activity, along with 20 others to film it on their cellphones.

Good luck getting funding. I support funding for jailing the Iranian arms dealer if they get a conviction, and a nice long prison sentence before kicking her out of the country. Then again, if convicted, I would not be against sending her to one of Trump foreign run, hell hole prisons overseas, if they aren't too overloaded with his illegal lawn care, roofers, sheet rockers and vegetable pickers.

Last I heard, I thought ICE was funded well into 2028. I just don't get this country:

• They created the DHS. It should come with a baseline budget.
• If nothing else, its gets its baseline operation cost.
• Congress can always opt for additional funding.
• That should be mandatory to guarantee the continuity of government.
• If Congress does not want to fund DHS, they should vote to disband the agency altogether, otherwise, either shit or get off the pot.

The only reason they are still operating is trump got them 7 times their annual budget last year, and unlike most government orgs, they appearently did not have to turn the excess back to General Accounting. Like you, I figured they were sitting pretty, but I guess with the large multi-city efforts, they have blown through it, yet staying operational while TSA and other agencies stop paying, run short staffed or close operations. But, sooner or later, money does run out.

Personally, I could give a crap, as I don't approve of the new method of operations, the masks, warrentless searches, or trigger happy masked (to make it more difficult to identify, when they go too far) goon squads going city to city. I might look at it different, if we had an illegal alien problem in the small city I live in, but we don't. As for crime, it is the usual local suspects for the most part.

I have never really liked DHS, as it was created after 9/11 paranoia, mostly because the FBI and other Federal law enforcement would not work together sharing intel and manpower, and the president would not fire the hell out of the leaders of the existing government organizations, until they agreed to coordinate, sharing manpower and intel, so this new monstrosity was created, as a private army under the control of Executive Branch.
