The IRGC, which is self sustaining, owning between a third and a half of the Iranian economy, is the most hardline element of the leadership, and the civilian government has shown some interest in reaching a settlement with the US, has clearly been sidelined, do it's bad news for any chance of a negotiated settlement, which conversely is good news because it may bring this ceasefire and talk nonsense to an end and allow the US and Israel to get back to taking down the regime.
