You are only mandated to have car insurance if you own a car and are not forced to buy a car. That insurance is for the priviledge of driving on the state's road's.

I heard yesterday on one of those day talk shows I believe where someone said that Pelosi will go down in history as the greatest speaker of the house, she of course was flattered. It is really sad to see the idiots who think this bill will somehow result in making their life personally better -or result in better health care, better access to health care or lower health care insurance premiums. It will take a few years because some elements of this bill are rolled out over the course of the next several years but the single biggest change everyone will notice is how little money they have left in their wallet after government gets done raping them on every level of government. ALL states will have to significantly raise taxes in addition to the taxes included in this bill -with many of the ones with a dense and largely urban population saying that after everything is rolled out over the course of the next few years and all direct and hidden taxes are included, citizens in their states will be left with less than 30% of what they earn because the mandate placed on states will also require them to massively increase taxes or go bankrupt. California is already facing bankruptcy because they can't afford the system they have now -much less a massively expanded one. Their tax base is moving out because the fruits and nuts of California already ruined their state with their mentality that everything can be free and force someone else to foot the bill with no unwanted consequences.

What Democrats created in this bill is what the left already did to California and now wants to do on a national level. This mentality that everyone can get whatever they want by sticking someone else with the bill is not just idiotic, it is a self-destructive mentality and provably unsustainable. In reality it has made Americans the slaves of its own government and a critical step for tyranny to take hold in any system.

You think Republicans face problems come November? Dream on -from now on Democrats and no one BUT Democrats will own the increasingly undeniable fact they inflicted a monstrosity of bill on us all against the will of the majority -and all the unwanted consequences that will result from this bill. And there will be a shitload of them. The most unforgivable part is the FACT Democrats deliberately finagled what went to the CBO in order to get back the number they wanted -and in order to avoid getting back REALITY that would only increase the opposition to this bill by Americans. Who already opposed it. They had NO problem facing the public and telling them bald-faced lies, knowing full well they ARE lies because they made sure what went to the CBO would be lies! Even the head of the CBO said they are required to make their calculations based ONLY on what they were handed and not allowed to include anything else they know will affect it. The head of the CBO is the one who said "Fantasy in, its fantasy coming out" of their estimates.

This bill never was about HEALTH CARE -which is why every single measure known to actually reduce health care costs was rejected by the Democrats who rammed this bill down all our throats. This was about bigger and more powerful government carried out by the very people who intend to be the recipients of that increased power. Republicans don't support bigger and more powerful government -Democrats do. They believe getting people addicted to government entitlements and handouts means making it easier for them to get re-elected by promising to dole out a bit more of the money they confiscated from you in the first place. And there are idiots who fall for that. It is a bill that nearly doubles the size of federal government to a government that is now claiming hugely expanded powers over the lives of every person in this country.

The biggest idiots of all are young people, the majority of whom apparently support this monstrosity. Just proof positive that our public school system is churning out idiots and explains why they don't stack up well against those in other nations who don't use their public school system for political indoctrination. The reason the Democrats are ORDERING everyone to buy health care insurance is because this is the ONLY way to force the young and healthy to buy a product at a time of their life it makes the most sense not to even have it. They need them to buy it because they know this is the segment of the population least likely of all to even utilize the system -in order to hose them with the bill for those who will be utilizing the system the most.

Just a little common sense here bubba, ok? You can't expend the ranks of Medicaid by some 30 million at the same time they raise the reimbursement rates to match those of Medicare while ordering states to somehow cover that expansion, adding millions into a system already suffering from doctor and nursing shortages and fewer people even entering medical and nursing schools than ever before -and end up with a better system. Not going to happen.

This always was nothing but a formula to massively expand the size and power of government by taking the best health care system in the world -and destroying it. That delusional bitch Pelosi is one of those fruitcake Californians who actually believe the utter failure of a system they created in California and where they are facing utter ruin today -should be the system we should all be forced to exist under nationwide.
