Much LESS likely, especially if he/she is from the U. of Pittsburgh. Stated simply, the school is saying that anyone who teaches here must by necessity reflect our personal social views and social policies, so by setting ONE view, they fix the views of 30 teachers who then afix the opinions of 30,000.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT DIVERSITY OF OPINION THE LEFT TELLS US IS SO VALUED AND IMPORTANT?

Thus marches on the disease of Progressivism.

Yet Wang is UNDENIABLY right:

1. The University admitted as much by LYING about what Wang said rather than address the real topics of his article. Wang IN NO WAY "expressed views against equity and inclusivity," nor did he promote "racism or discrimination of any kind." It was racism that for years excluded people because of race, but the corollary to that isn't to automatically INCLUDE everyone regardless of qualification! Especially in medicine. It is one thing to DENY good people just because of skin color, but an equally, if not WORSE thing to INCLUDE everyone just because of skin color. This is just one more bad example of forcing a result to fit a desired outcome-- -- -- in the real world, 35% of all grads won't end up being Black, 35% White, and the other 30% Indian, Asian, Latino and other minorities.
2. Denying an unqualified applicant due to poor grades or performance IS NOT racism just because that person was also Black. Unfortunately, with heads firmly shoved up our asses now, it will be called racism, and everyone will duck and run for cover. Simple truth now is that "White Privilege" was created as a lie to both explain and justify the practice now of pushing through every minority possible no matter what their qualifications until the goal is met of driving Whites into the underclass.
3. Wang is correct that ultimately, this is both an insult to minorities that they cannot compete in a truly open and level playing field, as much as it is true as Wang says that "affirmative action tends to undermine the spirit of individual initiative. Such is human nature; why struggle to succeed when you can have something for nothing."
