The article I read indicated that these underwater drones can be packed with 100 megaton charges.
Enough to wipe out an entire coastal region.

100 megaton is the warhead. But it has a nuclear engine, which will detonate, too. So, more or less it comes to gigaton-class weapon. Two subs, six torpedoes each.

But, of course, its first purpose is not to destroy "coastal areas", but to eliminate US SSBNs and surface ships in the first strike.
