There has been a lot of criticism about Vuhledar. Why sacrifice precious lives for some ruins? Now it has been reported that the commander of the 187th Battalion of the 123rd Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces committed suicide because he was not allowed to withdraw his unit.
About 100 soldiers of the unit left the place though, without permission, and rallied in their place of origin to protest a lack of training and weapons. Both cases are under investigation.
