My wife is Jewish, my kids were bar mitzvahed, but are not practicing. I have a very obvious Italian last name and was raised RCC, but turned off decades ago. Once my boys rabbis got to know me they each suggested that I convert, I didn’t

There are some nations more moderate than others, you find common ground with leaders. If The Abraham Accords can bring Saudi Arabia and Israel together, the most Islamic state and the Jewish state, why is it impossible?

The Gaza issue must be solved. Yes, the removal of Hamas, but also a sound, moderate government in Gaza, and yes, ultimately a two state solution of sorts. Not as a direct result of the Hamas attack but for the end goal of peace between neighbours. Deradicalization of Gazans will occur but it takes patience and positive relationships.

Without question other nations in the region need to step up. The problem is that their governments fear their citizens due to their lack of democracy so they fear making peace with Israel. If Israel can find lasting peace with Gaza, these other nations may have an easier time finding camaraderie with Israel.
