Yes there are, if a person is a "Jew" then ipso facto one is entitled to become a citizen of Israel. If one is not a Jew the rules and process is much more challenging. Those who are a Jew are able to gain Israeli citizenship on that basis alone, but for non-Jews the process is much more difficult.
Consider Egypt, to obtain Egyptian nationality one does need to be ethnically "Egyptian" that has no significance, so long as either parent had Egyptian nationality when you were born then you have Egyptian nationality too.
Israel does not have that same rule, in Israel for a non-Jew IF a parent was an Israeli citizen when you were born THEN IN ADDITION the parent must have been born in Israel OR you - the child - must have been born in Israel (unless you're a Jew of course, in which case none of this matters).
