UH is the answer just like in Canada

After all what is a little death between friends? Canada had all the right answers. Great PM (ex now); Strong military. Warm climate; superb immigration policy.

51st state

This wouldn't be a problem if people took better care of their health. People are like pigs. They'll eat anything no matter how disgusting, and lay down in any old mudhole.

I just want the freedom to pursue my dreams, own my own assets and live my life.

There is a chance the West loses a great deal of influence, potentially not to return if America emulates what other nations have done to their citizens. There is already a danger in America following the wrong path. People deserve the opportunity to compete freely for a career and to have healthcare and the protection of their life.

Yes, right.

Can you tell me how many people died waiting for surgery here in the US?
Only problem I see is its almost impossible to find a private practice DR. Its all Corp healthcare now sliding downhill . Thanks Obama.

Hard to eat the right things when most everything available and affordable to eat is crammed with sugar and ingredients that are banned in most other countries cuz they are bad for you.

Thanks FDA!! :D

A strong immune system mitigates most of the harmful things in food. The seniors that died during Covid didn't die because of co-morbidities but because their immune systems were ravaged by medications. Others were just 'ready to go' anyway. Under the best conditions a nursing home patient lives less than a year after admission.

Here's a useful tidbit that I just learned. While potatoes are frowned on by health gurus because of their high glycemic index (sugar content) sweet corn has four times as much sugar, but not a peep from those gurus about that.

did you even read the op.....died waiting for surgery
People will always die waiting for surgery! Did they die from neglect? Would the surgery have saved their lives?

People also die during surgery, and after surgery.

We are all in charge of our own health by what we eat and how we treat our bodies. We can have accidents and chronic conditions, some inherited, but often bad things result from bad choices we make.

In 2023, the average cost of healthcare in the United States was $14,570.

Canada in 2024 was CAD$9,054 average cost, which equates to USD$6,248

Can you pay private in Canada? You can in the UK. So if Canadians saved the difference in healthcare per year $14,570-$6,248=$8,322, then just pay for part of your treatment to speed things up. If they don't, their choice, plus they don't come out of it bankrupt.

Get real. You can take all the care of yourself you can, eat the best foods, wrap your entire life around diet and exercise and still get sick, get injured or develop some disease or health problem. Sometimes all you have to do is just get old. A lot of it is often genetic.

Stores shouldn't be full of shelves of fake food that is addictive and very bad for you, period. It isn't that way in Europe.
And doctors should recognize and treat you for things like diet and obesity and help steer you toward better lifestyles before it becomes a problem.

The US needs to concentrate on it's healthcare and stop fantasising over everybody else's -

U.S. healthcare is broken.

I had to visit a couple hospitals in Thailand because of a dogbite I got while there and the efficiency, speed, and level of care exceeded anything I would have received here.

The reality is that health is more of a head game than a diet and exercise game. Physical health starts with mental health.

Doctors know exactly what is needed for good health. Sadly, they keep it to themselves.
