The UFT has so badly sabotaged the American educational system, that in NYC, which now spends over $18,000 per student per year, of the 60% of the students that actually graduate high school, fully 2/3 are not prepared for college without remedial classes. That is a UFT failure rate of 80%.
In response to even the easiest of reforms, the UFT has dug in their heels are they will fight to the death to continue to destroy the hopes and futures of the children of the City of New York.
