Tyson versus Paul

Time to revive the thread

Jake Paul looks to be in pretty damn good shape and being 30 years younger I have to wonder if this isn't a mistake for Tyson. I suppose no matter what the outcome of $30 million dollar payday is never a mistake as long as you survive it.
I am sure Tyson has the boxing knowledge and skills to beat Paul
He remembers what to do but I don’t think his nearly 60 year old body can deliver.

57 Year olds shouldn't be fighting. Win or lose, it's his life, but even if he wins, it will take a toll on him unless its a one or two round K.O
Agreed. Tyson is strong and deadly, but his stamina cannot be anywhere near as great as it was when he was 30. The tactic would be to keep moving, ala Ali, and make Tyson waste his strength, then pour it on in the later rounds.

His strength has decreased over time even when he was in his 30s and training all the time.

A man at now age 58 can't possess near the same punching power.

All the more reason to keep him running and swinging in the early rounds. Yes, if Paul gets too close, Tyson might be able to flatten him, but not as likely in the ninth or tenth round.

If he gets the opportunity in the early rounds, most likely. If Paul is smart and agile and keeps his cool, he can most likely wear Tyson out, then take him out in the later rounds.

Paul is not very fast. He'll have a hard time running from Tyson.

I predict 2nd or 3rd round KO or TKO.

The rounds in this fight will be 2 minutes as opposed to 3, which should help Tysons loss of stamina.

1 extra minute in a round can feel like an eternity when your arms feel heavy and your legs are tired.

We will see. We will also see if this will be an actual real fight and of that I have my doubts.

Agree

This is a circus sideshow and is dangerous
It’s the only boxing that can get eyeballs anymore. boxing committed suicide with its splitting of federations, and it got railroaded by UFC.

All this proves is that Mike Tyson is, and always will be, must see TV. There’s a short list of captivating individuals in any generation, ones that will never be duplicated.

Tyson fits the bill

I'm rooting for Tyson but Tyson no longer has the power of Tyson.
yeah .. I was just expressing what I want to happen .. but Tyson is 30 yrs older than Paul and Paul does have knockout power .. the odds are against Tyson .. but in a way its a no win situation for Paul if he's serious about his claim of wanting to be a "champion" if he loses to a man nearly 60 yrs old he will be a laughing stock .. but if he wins or even worse ko's Tyson there are a lot of active fighters that will take great offense to a loud mouth you tuber beating up someone they revere .. and I wouldn't be surprised if young fighters like Andy Ruiz call him out and challenge Paul .. Paul would have no choice but to either chicken out or accept the fight and get absolutely destroyed in the 1st or 2nd round ..

yeah .. I hope Tyson scores a ko .. but Paul has the advantage of youth ..

If Paul can drag him into the later rounds he probably wins If he tries to stand in the middle of the ring and have a slugfest Tyson will chew him up and spit him out. The problem for Paul is he isn't a natural HW like Tyson. He's put on a bunch of weight the question is has he lost a bunch of speed to do it. Also, Tyson can end this fight with 1 punch. Paul cant.
I hope Tyson wins but speed and stamina isn't the only thing that goes with age .. the chin goes too ..

Paul does have ko power .

I hope this fight doesn't disappoint the fans after such a huge buildup.

I just heard about this a few weeks ago, so no build-up for me.

Me and Iron Mike are the same age, I'm stronger than I was at 28, so I don't believe Mike has lost much strength if he has been training, what he has lost is stamina and might tire out but he will still kick this guy's ass before he does.

There are 3 must-see athletes of my lifetime, Tiger Woods, Mike Tyson, and Michael Jordan.
