Those cops obviously took it too far.

My point is, if he was 100% compliant from the start, he’d still be alive today.

Maybe, I don't know....I couldn't figure out what caused such a 0 to 100 response from the start....Certainly didn't look like any rational police procedure I've seen...

But, with that said, I don't know why he wouldn't just submit quickly to possibly save further aggression by these cops...Was he high?

The point is... would Nichols rather be alive...or expose poorly trained officers with the wrong temperament and impulse control to be police.

Personally, I'd choose being alive. My mom would choose me being alive.

And that brings us right back to, had Nichols done what was excepted in civilized society... Pulling over immediately and complying with police orders, the man would 100% be alive today.

I kept hearing them saying give me your hands while the video showed officers holding his arms. The officers were working against each other.

Is it reasonable to beat a suspect for not giving his hands while those hands are trying to wipe his eyes from pepper spray?

How would you get a struggling suspect that you hadn't searched for weapons to comply?

They used pepper spray, they used a taser, they used mass tackling.

Where do you go from there with a suspect who may be a felon in possession of a firearm for all you know?

Obviously he was not putting his hands where they instructed, and even more obvious he was fighting with them when they tried to do it for him. Resisting.

What do you think they carry night sticks for anyway? Yes he was resisting which is why they had to get physical with him. If he was complying, we'd be having discussions about politics in another topic because he would have been alive and unharmed today.
