When in fact it was his predecessor who had more of an effect on world oil production. During the oil glut brought on in part by covid, the previous president begged the Saudis to cut production and they finally did. But it was too late, because when they finally did cut production the world's economies were waking up and demand for oil began to rise again. OPEC+ lagged behind in ramping up production and caused the first rise in oil prices. Then when Russia, one of the largest producer of crude oil in the world, invaded their neighbor, oil prices jumped again. Strikingly however, the US Oil Patch recovered and was well on it's way to record territory. Big profits for them huh?
