Two first graders accused of forcing girl to perform sex acts

...What a surprise. The repost of the story took a few liberties with the details.

Here's the WTOL story everyone's describing very inaccurately.

Children s Services investigating inappropriate touching inciden - Toledo News Now News Weather Sports Toledo OH

"TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - Lucas County Children's Services is investigating after an incident involving inappropriate touching between three students was reported at Rise and Shine Academy. The CEO of Rise and Shine Academy, Dr. Pat McKinstry, says they became aware of the situation when a student reported something "nasty" happening in the bathrooms.

School officials say a first-grader initiated inappropriate activity between herself and two other students.

When a teacher found out, it was immediately reported, and the children were called to the office as their parents were called to the school.

The child who they say initiated the incident has not been back to school. Staff require the girl be counseled before she can return.

"We have not let that child come back. It's disheartening, it's sad to me that we have to terminate her if her mother would not be honest enough to get this baby some treatment," said McKinstry.

The school says the teacher who was responsible for the students at the time of the incident is no longer employed with them, as they did not follow the bathroom policy of watching students while in the restroom. The school has also brought on a psychologist to work with the students involved.

"This incident, even though it happened, these 6-year-olds' innocent minds are only reacting to what they have been exposed to," said McKinstry.

The school also issued a statement to address the incident:

"We've been made aware with the situation that involves like age children and due to the sensitivity of the matter, because of the ages of the children, the incident is still under investigation. We're not at liberty to discuss further details, but additional policies have been put into place to ensure the continued safety of our children. "

The school has already changed their bathroom policy to only allow one child inside the bathroom at a time.

Children's Services is working with the school and the licensing authority on the investigation."

In other words, the OP (through no fault of his own) used a complete distortion of the incident. The GIRL is the perpetrator here, not the boys. And it seems to haveonly been a "touching" incident. Hardly "sex acts."
No one said boys. Maybe as has been said before they were all girls.

Just speculation, though statistics will bear this out, but often times when children end up doing this kind of thing it's because they were molested. Someone touched the girl, thinking then that that's normal she's does it to others.

Seems like normal childhood sexual exploration

Playing doctor it used to be called

The kids will be traumatized more by the overreaction from adults than by the incident itself. Why it is front page news is beyond me

Playing doctor implies that all parties were playing. When one child is forced it's not playing.

Given the ages involved, that was my first thought too. Seems to have been right.

Frontpage only because of the completely reversed depiction of the actual story. Actually story is pretty unremarkable. The reversed description, where the boys forced a girl to perform "sex acts" is obviously frontpage sensationalistic.

This behavior used to be settled with a spanking

Now it gets top billing on the 6 o'clock news and the children are signed up for a decades worth of psychological counselling

The parents of the 2 boys probably have a cause of action against the news outlets which reversed the facts making the girl appear like the victim when in fact it was the boys. Though given it was nothing other than "touching" according tot he child witness who related the incident, "victim" is a stretch.

That's the assumption since it happened in the girls' bathroom.

The aggressive girl may come from a lesbian household and see nothing wrong with sex acts with another girl.
