Two Federal District Court Judges order a hold on SNAP cutoff

The govt is shutdown. There is nobody available at the Dept of Ag to doll out any money
No, it is not true that “nobody at the Department of Agriculture is available to give out food stamps” because of the shutdown.

Even during a shutdown, some staff remain on duty to carry out essential functions like food assistance.

Yeah sorry no, no oay, no work

And a Schumer Shutdown is not an emergency

Moreover the gop tried to get Congress to pass funding, the Dems have blocked it 13 or 14 times now

A judge won’t be able to do for Dems what Congress won’t do

“Majority Leader John Thune, and Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, are doing a GREAT job,” Trump said, “but the Democrats are Crazed Lunatics that have lost all sense of WISDOM and REALITY.” He blamed the standoff on a “sick form” of Trump Derangement Syndrome — the obsession, he argued, that’s driving Democrats to damage the country rather than give his administration a win.

The Democrats have eliminated the use of the filibuster every single time the Republicans used it to block them. Republicans used it to block federal court nominations; Harry Reid nuked it.

It's crazy to think the Democrats would ever allow Republicans to pull their own shutdown stunt in the future. The GOP is always being taught lessons, but never, ever learns.

It might not matter. Sources say that Democrats plan on ending the stupid shutdown after election day. So shutting down the government is officially, admittedly just a base-stoking electioneering stunt.

Yep this should actually pass in a bipartisan fashion

A federal judge in Rhode Island on Friday afternoon blocked the Trump administration from suspending all food aid for millions of Americans amid the ongoing government shutdown, in a case brought by a group of US cities, nonprofit organizations and a trade union.

And at almost the same time, in a separate but similar case, a federal judge in Massachusetts ruled that the government must continue to fund the program that helps low-income households stave off food insecurity, in a case brought by the Democratic attorneys general from 22 states and the District of Columbia and three governors who sued the administration.

Well, now that two district court judges said it I guess it will be ignored twice as hard.

Slapped down in 3, 2, 1.

Don't need a flood or a hurricane to do that, Trump is doing it all by himself.

And yet another day passes....

Hey idiot. The emergency fund doesn’t have to be voted on by Congress. It’s already set aside for emergencies such as the shutdown. Do research sometimes.
There isn't enough money to fully fund the program. These judges are demanding the government violate the law and constitution.
