Nobody's going to "win" the war on drugs. The best we can do is exact the highest price possible to those responsible bringing them in.

Good for Trump.
A handful of boats and some dead drug mules don't mean ****-all to the cartels.

This is theater for you rubes. Shiny objects. Fireworks.

My god you people are way too easily led around by your noses.

We need to clean up our own act and address the users

We don’t have rampant drug use because of Venezuela

So you support boots on the ground in Venezuela?
Not necessarily ground troops, we have control of the air, and after a few demonstration strikes I'm sure that the generalissimos will throw Maduro under the bus and welcome Gonzalezas the rightful "presidente".

We can walk and chew at the same time.

**** your dictator hero Maduro and his cronies.
Not my problem

Trump panders to Putin while he bullies Maduro

Trump is looking out for Maduro and allowing him to leave with all his ill-gotten gains.

Elites take care of elites.

Or in this case I should say election deniers take care of election deniers.

I just did a topic on the hilarity of MAGA math!

Best case scenario. Even Venezuelans deserve better than Maduro.

Opioid deaths skyrocketed during Trump 1.0, which is why you did not post the facts going back that far.
Fentanyl deaths skyrocketed due to the drug cartels having unfettered access to the US. Trump had to fight democrats hard to get the wall built. The military radar operators could not report drug traffic to law enforcement. My comparison is between Biden's 4-years and Trump-47 to show who saved more US lives.
And Trump allowed the Sacklers to get off with a fine instead of bombing their house.
Trump doesn't have a war on cartels. He has a war on boats from Venezuela. Opioids don't come from Venezuela.
Do try to catch up. No jail time for the Sacklers. None. Zip. Zero. Billionaire elites take care of each other.
Trump only paid fines for his multiple crimes he committed before he was president, too. Ain't America great?
OFF TOPIC.
This thread is about the 400,000 American lives lost under Biden who did nothing to stop the drug traffic, and the ~180,000 American lives saved by Trump-47 who declared war on the drug cartels.
I know, you side with the democrats and the drug cartels.

I learned how this regime works. They do illegal stuff and dare Congress and the courts to stop them.
Oh yeah, I love it when democrats tell me all about the law and shit. Please do.

Nope. Drug deaths skyrocketed because of Purdue and the Sacklers. The epidemic was created INTERNALLY.

Then Trump let them go free with a fine.

No more excuses, son. It's a plain fact drug deaths skyrocketed at a faster rate under Trump than under Biden. In fact, they were on the decline by the end of the Biden era. Biden bent the curve downward.

But that doesn't fit your narrative, so you hid the truth.

Purdue created the epidemic, and it was too late by the time they got their slap on the wrist. The cartels simply acted as all capitalists do. Once the Sacklers were out of the picture, the cartles stepped in to fill the demand the Sacklers had created.

There is no excuse for why your Dear Leader let the Sacklers walk,

Then why don't they explain how to Congress?
Its apparently classified:
But the opinion from the Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel justifying the strikes remains classified. A group of Senate Democrats asked for an "expeditious declassification" of the legal opinion in a letter last week to Hegseth and Attorney General Pam Bondi.
"Few decisions are more consequential for a democracy than the use of lethal force," they wrote. "We therefore believe that the declassification and public release of this important document would enhance transparency in the use of deadly force by our nation's military and is necessary to ensure Congress and the American people are fully informed of the legal justification supporting these strikes."

Show me the AUMF.

It is a known fact in economics that a tax on consumption is superior to a tax on production. This is why I favor getting rid of the income tax and replacing it with the Fair Tax.

Just so with our drug problem. We need to deal with the consumption side of the problem, not the production side.

We need to decrease the demand for drugs.

More treatment centers, more hospitals, more harm reduction programs. Drug addiction is a disease and we should treat it as such.

To the ignorant who like weilding a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Stupid.

The war on drugs is a colossal and criminal waste of time, effort, and money which would be better spent on solving the demand problem.
