Who said it was free, we earned it they took it and spent it on graft. Yeah let’s give away billions and bitch about the people receiving 20%That $5000 per person, will still have to be borrowed, with interest. Which is exactly how we got into this mess.
Remember all those stimulus packages? They didn't do anything but increase the debt. And it costs us way more than we got in those checks.
Remember, NOTHING is free. Especially government money.
Pass! We need to start bringing down the national debt.Use the money to shores up Social Security
Not to worry. The Freedom Caucus will say, "Fuck you, President, no!"Pass! We need to start bringing down the national debt.
Use the money to shores up Social Security
You still haven't answered an all too easy question to ask (more like blatantly dodged it):
Is the tax loot being taken right now, under the current conditions of wasting it, already spent?
Nobody said anything about worshiping anyone, Captain Strawman.I don't know if they've REALLY put a stop to any of it. What's already been spent already is gone. If they stop the fraud and waste, from this point on, great. That's what they're supposed to do. I'll praise them for it. But I won't worship them for doing their jobs.
But if they stop the wasteful spending on a bunch of stuff, and waste it on other stuff, then there's nothing to praise.
The end result hasn't gotten here yet. And the end result is the only thing that really matters.
BTW, I've been waiting for something like DOGE for decades. It's the very reason I oppose the left and RINO's. It's the very reason I support guys like Massie, Rand and Chip Roy. They've been trying to do what DOGE is just now doing, for a long time.
But when Trump comes out with this DOGE thing, make everyone believe he's going to cut the waste and fraud from government spending, but then calls for Chip Roy to be primaried for wanting more cuts in the last CR, that doesn't pass the smell test. Why TF would you want to get rid of Chip Roy who wants the same exact thing as Trump does?
The lie is that “the money has already been spent.” Much of the savings are from projects CANCELLED.They're saying 20%. I've seen reports (probably false) that it would be $5000.
Sounds great, right? And extra few thousand in a check, from all the money "doge is saving" the American tax payer.
But here's the lie. There is no "saving" anything because the money has already been spent. All they're finding, for the most part, are receipts of money spent. And since it's already spent, then there's no getting it back.
The only thing they can do at this point, is greatly reduce the next CR and Omnibus bills.
They can't pay down the debt, help make SS more solvent for more years. They can't do anything, except reduce future spending.
This is like getting a $20,000 discount on a vehicle you still can't afford, even with the discount.
But Trump is getting people's hopes up that the government is going to send them a check.
1st off, that's not saving any money.
2. Inflation is simply too much money in the economy. So the government sending out more money, it's only going to keep growing the national debt.
They're already spending too much money on things the government has to have. (IE 0% waste).
Just when I start getting my hopes up about Trump, he comes up with some new con.
This guy breaks down the facts about this supposed dividend/stimulous check that's been floating around, getting everyone excited.
You are right about the money already spent. From what I understand the payment would be calculated sometime in 2026 after DOGE is complete, at which time there will be some real savings. The $5000 is estimated based on 2 trillion dollars in savings. While that's not going to happen, we might still see enough where every taxpayer gets $1000. We would only get 20% of the savings for one year, so the country would still save 80% that year and 100% in the years afterward. I'm not going to turn the check down. It's actually a pretty good idea come time for the midterms and, of course, Trump's signature will be on the checks. They're saying 20%. I've seen reports (probably false) that it would be $5000.

But it is representative of how Trump and Elon work on false assumptions for approval.Probably not happening. No big deal.
