I'd agree with a notion that we won't really know the effects of Trump's trade war with china (that appears to have reached détente) for years, but there's no real way to say it affected mftring or employment …. or the stock market. Although the Fed racheting back up QE probably was related to the trade war, and that absolutely affected overall growth staying positive and the stock market gain.

well we do know that it hurts China. They wouldn't be at the table unless it was actually hurting them. So you agree, there is no way tariffs have impacted manufacturing at all.

So what is your solution? The same shit we’ve been doing for 30 years? Let China use tariffs against us, while we impose little to none on them and let them take more of our manufacturing jobs? China has been in a “trade war” with us long before President Trump came along.

So Trade Wars was Trump's only option. Killing US farmers & US manufacturing. But trade wars are easily won. That is what your fast asssed hero said. So why isn't it won yet?

Trump pulled out the TPP & let China take our place. He brags about a trade deal with Japan that is less that the TPP would have given us.

China does not take our manufacturing jobs. We give them to China.

We “gave them” to China because our laws allowed them too. Farmers or any other industry shouldn’t be relying on communists to stay in business. And by the way, the farmers are being hurt by China’s tariffs, which you lefties keep saying only result in their own people paying more taxes.

Are you for things like high wages and protecting the environment? You can’t be for those things and support China that uses virtual slave labor and shits on the environment. You do realize that is exactly why their manufacturing costs are so cheap, right?
