'What emerged in two interviews with Trump, and conversations with more than a dozen of his closest advisers and confidants, were the outlines of an imperial presidency that would reshape America and its role in the world. To carry out a deportation operation designed to remove more than 11 million people from the country, Trump told me, he would be willing to build migrant detention camps and deploy the U.S. military, both at the border and inland. He would let red states monitor women’s pregnancies and prosecute those who violate abortion bans. He would, at his personal discretion, withhold funds appropriated by Congress, according to top advisers. He would be willing to fire a U.S. Attorney who doesn’t carry out his order to prosecute someone, breaking with a tradition of independent law enforcement that dates from America’s founding. He is weighing pardons for every one of his supporters accused of attacking the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, more than 800 of whom have pleaded guilty or been convicted by a jury. He might not come to the aid of an attacked ally in Europe or Asia if he felt that country wasn’t paying enough for its own defense. He would gut the U.S. civil service, deploy the National Guard to American cities as he sees fit, close the White House pandemic-preparedness office, and staff his Administration with acolytes who back his false assertion that the 2020 election was stolen."

Among the more dangerous actions Trump proposes is a potential deployment of the military internally; using Presidential power to overrule Congressional spending authorizations; firing those attorneys and other civil servants who don't tow the party line; and supporting some type of "pregnancy" police.

Welcome to Trump's America.

Welcome to Trump's America.

While all of those items sound good, the story is fiction

The number of idiots that don't know the difference between someone telling you someone else said something and someone else actually saying it is mind numbing.

I'd already decided not to vote this time around but if Trump really said those things I may hold my nose and vote for him.

LOl..Those proposals are coming right from Trump's mouth.

Reshaped into fear mongering out of context nonsense.

Yes, when you have 10s of millions of illegals running lose you need the military to deal with them all, and you need camps to round them up into. You can't just go out and grab them willy nilly and send each one packing individually. The time to do it the nice way is gone, there are way too many of them now and there will be a lot more before he could take presidency

Why should we pay for other countries wars and pay more than twice as much as the 2nd and 3rd biggest donators that are actually part of Europe? We sent hundreds of billions to Ukraine while we won't secure our own border and inflation is out of control?

If abortion is banned then of course there would be consequences. Those women can live in a state where it isn't banned. Or they could learn self control, personal responsibility and have some morals instead of murdering babies because they chose to willingly take risky actions. Trump recently said it should be up to the states.

If someone should be prosecuted for a crime why wouldn't you fire a prosecutor that wont do their job?

Everything he spoke of is a detriment to this nation and only became issues during the current presidency so of course if you have problems you put an end to them.

Let the son of a bitch fire everyone. Let's see him run the United States Govt. on his own & see how long he loses what's left of his mind.

What the hell, then we'd have another Joe Biden.

I heard from a guy who knows a guy that Joe Biden is planning to seize the entire state of Florida and offer asylum to the cannibals who ate his uncle.
