Former President Donald J. Trump has baselessly and publicly cast doubt about the fairness of the 2024 election about once a day, on average, since he announced his candidacy for president, according to an analysis by The New York Times.

Though the tactic is familiar — Mr. Trump raised the specter of a “rigged” election in the 2016 and 2020 cycles, too — his attempts to undermine the 2024 contest are a significant escalation.

My apologies to the board as those who do not have access to the NYT are missing out on some very effective graphics showing the timeline of Don's increased accusations about a "rigged election" in the months leading up to Nov.

Not to mention a scroll of social media posts crossing the screen making note of his many false allegations on election integrity. All in order to prepare The Following not to accept the outcome if he loses. Preparing them for taking action.........like the Jan. 6 assault on the Capital and the soul of the nation.

It is difficult to know if the origin of these lies was based on his desire to be a destructive force for the republic or just a preemptive way to sooth his massive, fragile ego in the event of a loss. But whether it was his intention to harm the country or not that has been the affect. Surely he knows it by now if he didn't know it before. Yet he persists.

Examples like this one are why I and other progressives mock his "America First" motto. America has already paid a high price for being a distant second to his self-interests. It, we, will always be a distant second. Making him an existential threat to our future.

Moot: Trump's not going to lose.

They will go absolutely nuts and do everything they've been crying that the Republicans would do if he lost.
You think Biden will assemble a bunch of deluded thugs to block Trump's certification? I'll take the other side of that bet.

The irony of all this is the response from the democrats should TRUMP! defeat Quid Pro. They will go absolutely nuts and do everything they've been crying that the Republicans would do if he lost. There will be epic screaming at the sky and rioting.
Could you provide me a quote from Biden claiming if he loses it will be because the election was rigged. Thanks.

Imagine the power he has, to be able to say anything and the rubes just believe it.

This is the guy who said the 2016 Iowa primary was rigged against him when he lost to Cruz. This is the guy who said the fucking EMMYS were rigged against him when he lost. This could NOT be more obvious.

So I have to wonder how many of these people know this is all a lie and don't care. They just want to burn down a country that has turned them into sniveling victims, and he's providing the excuse for them.

One of the tells that the party had become subordinate to the Orange One was when no party platform was announced at the POT convention. Why? Cuz Don likes to make it up on the fly. He doesn't like being bound by core philosophical beliefs because he has none.

Mr. Trump’s refusal to accept the results of the 2020 election had historic consequences. The so-called “Big Lie” — Mr. Trump’s false claim that the election was stolen from him — led to the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the United States Capitol and two of four criminal indictments against Mr. Trump, as well as his second impeachment.

But Mr. Trump had planted seeds of doubt among his followers long before Election Day, essentially setting up a no-lose future for himself: Either he would prevail, or the election would be rigged.

He has never given up that framing, which no evidence supports, even well after the end of his presidency. And as he seeks to return to the White House, the same claim has become the backbone of his campaign.

Isn't this what you said in 2020?
Yep.
So uh....your predictions kinda suck.
How anyone who orchestrated a failed coup, raped a woman, stole from a charity, cheated on his taxes, and paid hush money to cover a sexual affair with a porn star to influence an election is a viable candidate for dog catcher is a complete mystery.

Quid Pro will be lucky to remember that he was running for president, let alone the details of why he lost. I'm talking about his sycophantic followers (you know who you are) that are wetting themselves in fear at the idea that TRUMP! could send Quid Pro into retirement.
