What's real is that when the northern hemisphere deglaciates, the oceans and the atmosphere warm and when the northern hemisphere glaciates, the oceans and the atmosphere cool. That has been true for the last 3 million years.
The atmosphere does not drive the climate of the planet, the ocean does. The ocean has 300 times the mass of the atmosphere. The ocean contains 1000 times the heat of the atmosphere. It's how the ocean distributes heat that determines if the plant is warming or cooling. When heat is being circulated from the Atlantic to the Arctic, the northern hemisphere deglaciates. When heat circulation from the Atlantic to the Arctic gets disrupted, the northern hemisphere glaciates.
