Trump's legacy not what he had hoped.

From Trump's first presidential action of falsely declaring his inauguration was bigger than Obama's on through his current efforts to get the Supreme Court to end the Affordable Care Act, he has seemed obsessed with ending anything that might have had Obama's name associated with it. He ended agreements and policies seemingly for no other reason than they were associated with Obama. Trump behaved exactly like some ancient, petulant, Egyptian king who ordered his predecessor's name be removed from all the monuments in the kingdom so that predecessor's accomplishments wouldn't outshine his.

It will be our next president's responsibility to restore all those policies and agreements. Not because of some intent to restore Obama's legacy, but because those policies were good for America, and we need them. Since virtually everything Trump has done has at least partly been an effort to undo Obama's work, once that work is restored, there won't be much to point to when it comes to any accomplishments Trump might want to claim.

Don't worry about Trump being remembered though. We have always been able to depend on the honor and integrity of our president to not use our government for personal gain. Trump has shown that we can't depend on our president's personal good character to maintain the high standards we require from a president. No doubt there will be a list of new laws, that should be called The Trump Laws that will define the acceptable behavior of our presidents, and prevent the childish, lawless behavior of our most recent president.
“...maintain the high standards we require from a President”. What are these high standards you speak of and what presidents had them?

None of our previous presidents used their position to further their personal business while holding the office, other than Trump.

You drunk? You think the massive million dollar book deals and $200k appearance fees AFTER office, is somehow not to their benefit?

It's those with your way of thinking why the system is exploited and undermined. Actions leaders taek today would have been front news on every paper a couple of generations ago.

Obama was a career politician, today he lives in a mansion.

That person is insane -

Oh give us a break the anti fracking, anti drilling, anti pipeline, anti business president obama policy's was bad for America

I assume you think Trump's crap was better liked by the country. If that is true, why didn't he get more votes?

After four years of the media's hate left one sided reporting, it's incredible how close he came to re-election. Not to mention they failed to follow up on any of the Democrat's endless scandals.

You would think that given freedom a press would be at odds with the government, not as madly in love with it as you are with Ivanka

Dumb ass made up accusations are not the same thing as a scandal.

Yes, of course. Russia as a total hoax, yet the press followed it to the end of the earth. Ukraine was BS but the press beat that into the ground too. Blaming Trump for a virus, the press is in on it.

But pursuing actual Democrat scandals? The press is too busy pursuing made up accusations to do that. Besides, Democrats are pure as the driven snow, like your love for Ivanka. We can just assume they didn't do whatever they did

Quit teasing. Either you have proof of some specific thing done to steal the election or you don't. Spit it out.

COVID definitely hurt it significantly. Then again he got another what 67mil+ votes? Its not as if he was not very popular with many people. His mistake was not being a bit softer to garner the female vote, where the base is notably larger than the male voting base that he did very well with. That is his fault and the party's fault for whiffing with that demographic.

Bottom line, people just don't like the pig any more now than they did 4 years ago.
He won 4 years ago and named three SCOTUS justices. You did not read a word I wrote, typical ignorant leftist.

Actually the majority of legal votes were for Trump. Only criminal scum voted for Biden.

Did HRC have proof? Did you call her out? Hypocrite.

The voters though, will feel that Trumps election win was stolen with four years of "resistance" and now this vote.

America will have two controlling states, California and NY, oh and the soon to be minted D.C I suppose.

This doesn't bode well for the West. Mark my words, it wasn't Trump that was really the problem, it was those who refuse to focus on their citizens interests, their national interests as it were.

There will be only a few nations in the world, the rest will be "post nation states". It simply weakens their position, China will NOT be one of the nations being broken apart. Thus, their path to global communist dominance is almost certain. With or without a Trump win in 2020.

You think the election was stolen because people didn't like trump. You know that's nuts, don't you?

It was stolen because a significant number of votes were illegitimate.
If the courts do not fix it -
You should be prepared for a very rough 2 years,

Which votes were illegitimate? Were those post marked on or before the third legitimate? What about all those military ballots that just got there today? Are they legitimate?

people are stupid?

Trump supporters certainly are.
Says a 70 yr old man with a perverted avatar. Hypocrisy 101.

Are you calling Ivanka perverted?
I am calling you perverted, grandpa. What a dumb leftist you are.

Oh give us a break the anti fracking, anti drilling, anti pipeline, anti business president obama policy's was bad for America

I assume you think Trump's crap was better liked by the country. If that is true, why didn't he get more votes?

How so? Show us a blue city that's not a shit hole?

You're bouncing all around on your subjects, aren't you? The subject for this thread is Trump's failed legacy. Try to keep up.

What failed legacy ? He eliminated Obama's legacy, like Reagan did to Carter

Did HRC have proof? Did you call her out? Hypocrite.

I'm not sure what Hillary might have to do with this election. Care to explain that?

I am calling you a hypocrite. Need me to elaborate why?

Well crazy right wingers call people names all the time. It's hardly worth notice. I do note that you can't explain what Hillary might have to do with this election. I guess you have whined about her for so long till you just can't help yourself.

On this site it is 90% crazy leftists. They call people names. Put people on ignore and if you vote for Trump call you a racist.

I can't think of anyone who isn't a racist that will admit to voting for Trump.
