It is not a hearing, either. In a true hearing, the people conducting it would ask for testimony from all points of view. In this case, they are only getting testimony from one point of view. Even that has hilariously failed due to the fact some of the people they coached and expected to say one thing, ended up saying the truth under oath. It's also become evident that some have LIED under oath.

The real purpose of the J6 committee hearings is to assure that the treasonous trump is NEVER elected to a position of authority again. This is the case, because the cowards in the repub party would not remove form future presidential runs by convicting him in the Senate.

If during the process, obvious crimes come to light, it will be the DOJ who will prosecute those who committed the crimes. Yes, there were multiple crimes committed, led by the Fat Former Guy. Let's see if he is indicted in any of those cases. Sedition, obstructing a Constitutional process, Inciting a Riot, Obstruction of Justice are just a few that come to mind. Racketeering has also been mentioned, particularly in the Georgia voter case that should be the first one to indict the Fat Former Guy.
