Consumer sentiment is down because ignorant consumers expect all prices to rise by 6%+ because they have been told that this is what was going to happen, not because it actually has or because there is any real data to support that theory. There is no way to predict inflation because tariffs negotiations aren’t complete. Besides that, all goods and services wouldn’t be affected even if there were no negotiations.
