Trump's false narrative about fighting crime. It's a Dictators tactic to get rid of the opposition

I had to explain this years ago. It's only gotten worse.
The closest major city to Chicago is Aurora.Chicago makes it
very difficult for gun ownership. Not so in Aurora,Ill.
Where s couple years had not a single Homicide.
Chicago Homicide or murder rate is always leading the
nation.Check out Aurora.Just miles from Chicago.
The Dimwinger Death Cult will tell you their policy of thousands and thousands of dead black folks in their Dimwinger run cities is a success.

Aurora, IL, reported a significant reduction in violent crime and homicides in 2024, according to police officials, while property crimes, like car break-ins and shoplifting, were on the rise as of February 2025. The city is implementing strategies to combat property crime in 2025 by forming a dedicated crime reduction team and using data-driven methods like heat maps and link

So more guns = less crime.

If Trump means to address crime, he should address it everywhere and not just in Blue cities with Black mayors.

Then again, his goal is not to address crime but to weaken Blue states by sending troops to them, in an effort to gain power and gain votes.

It is following the Dictator's guidelines for gaining power. Use the military to go against the opposition.

It is a 101 lesson in the Dictators handbook>

So we're clear, youre ok with him sending troops into cities, as long as he does it for both red and blue?

I accept your admission you are full of shit.

Run along, kid.

Not if the cities don't ask,

I agree, but DC is different. He has more power there. What he did in DC is within his power. In other states? Not so much.

So again, if DC doesnt want them there, im all for moving them to a republican city to help them out, and leave DC to its own devices on how they want to solve crime.

AI Overview

According to a 2025 analysis of preliminary FBI data, violent crime in the US was at a 50-year low in 2024, continuing a steady decline from the spike in 2020
. The rate of homicides is also near a 50-year low. However, this trend applies mainly to violent offenses, as property crime rates have been more mixed.
Violent crime
  • Near 50-year low: The overall violent crime rate, which includes murder, aggravated assault, robbery, and rape, dropped significantly in 2023 and 2024.
  • Lower than 1970s and '80s: A review of FBI data by analysts shows that the violent crime rate is far lower than its peak in the early 1990s and below levels seen in the 1970s and 1980s.
  • Homicide rate decline: The murder rate is also near a 50-year low after experiencing record declines in 2023 and 2024.

So now AI is an authority for the leftards?

Damn, you people are stupid.

AI just regurgitates the garbage it finds on the internet. Which everyone knows is trolled daily by the leftard "fact checkers". lmao

Your OP got shot down. Accept it. Your bullshit is why Democrats have a 19% approval rating.

Everyone who lives or works in DC agrees with President Trump. The only deniers are the outlanders who don't have to be there.

Trump’s DC rhetoric echoes history of racist narratives about urban crime

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump has taken control of D.C.’s law enforcement and ordered National Guard troops to deploy onto the streets of the nation’s capital, arguing the extraordinary moves are necessary to curb an urgent public safety crisis.

Even as district officials questioned the claims underlying his emergency declaration, the Republican president promised a “historic action to rescue our nation’s capital from crime, bloodshed, bedlam and squalor and worse.” His rhetoric echoed that used by conservatives going back decades who have denounced cities, especially those with majority non-white populations or led by progressives, as lawless or crime-ridden and in need of outside intervention.

Trump's false narrative about fighting crime is simply and excuse to go after Black Mayors and specifically in Democratic Blue States.

For example, Houston's crime rate has increased by 20% but it is a Red State and the Mayor is white (John Whitmore). Chicago's crime rate has decreased by over 30% but it is a Blue State and its Mayor is Black (Brandon Johnson).

This Trump narrative is not only racist but political. He is using the word "crime" (something that all people relate to and want it to stop) to go after Blue States. He is using lies because he knows that people in general (especially Trump cult members) are not interested in researching facts but in believing the leader they chose.

He doesn't care about combating crime but about preventing the coming elections from turning around against him. He knows his followers will believe, support, and act on his words.

Here is more proof of what this OP is stating:

Trump suggests more cities need National Guard but crime stats tell a different story

Using the National Guard is a military maneuver that is used by Dictators to seize power. That is exactly what Trump is trying to do:

So the crime started dropping AFTER Trump became President, right?

Not especially.

How have crime rates in the U.S. changed over time?

Both the FBI and BJS data show dramatic declines in U.S. violent and property crime rates since the early 1990s, when crime spiked across much of the nation.

Using the FBI data, the violent crime rate fell 49% between 1993 and 2022, with large decreases in the rates of robbery (-74%), aggravated assault (-39%) and murder/nonnegligent manslaughter (-34%).

and more importantly in addressing your statement:

Why Trump isn’t to thank for the crime decline

Despite Trump’s claim that “the previous administration allowed lawlessness to permeate our country,” the crime decline long predated his second term. After three decades of mostly continuous decline, crime spiked in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. But after a narrative of out-of-control crime firmly took hold, especially during the 2022 midterms, crime rates began subsiding rapidly in 2023.

Looking at crime rates across the country and across categories of crime, it is clear that the decline in 2025 is a continuation of a downward trend that began in 2023. Trump’s public safety policies do not reflect what we know about public safety. His war on immigrants and funding terminations to evidence-based violence-prevention strategies are both more likely to make the country more dangerous than less. It is also far too early to see any changes from many of the administration’s actions related to crime—like its executive order on policing or changes in federal prosecutions.

Keep crying. The politicians in those cities are only worried about protecting their own power.

This guy is flirting with disaster if he gets in the troops' way. I will remind you liberals that the federal government is charge of immigration enforcement.

Nothing and no one is perfect and that has been the case since time began and will be the case until time ends.

Nonetheless, we are supposed to be a Democratic Republic where people work TOGETHER to resolve problems, and not a Dictatorship where one man takes it upon himself to do what he wants, no matter what anyone says.

All politicians are worried about protecting their own power. Moreso, Trump who is adamant in protecting his own power, meaning that you specifically mentioning the Chicago mayor without mentioning that Trump is doing the same, is hyupocritical.

We cannot allow (under ANY circumstances) to have someone dictate to us what we all "have" to do. We all need to suffer the consequences of our decisions and not have one person alone be the judge of that. That is why we have laws, that is why we are a Republic (where every State has its own say about what happens to its own citizens, given that the leaders were voted on by the people in that state and not nationally).

"Washington, D.C., experienced an 11-day period without a reported homicide,"..... that has never been claimed by any other president but Trump...

Violent Crime: There was a 23% decrease in violent crimes from August 12 to August 26, 2025, compared to the previous two weeks. This included a 50% drop in violent crime overall since the deployment began on August 11, 2025.

Property Crime: Property crimes saw a reduction of about 11%, with specific categories like burglary and arson experiencing drops of 22% and 33%, respectively.

Carjackings: This category saw an 82% decrease, with only six reported cases in 2025 compared to 33 in 2024 during the same period.
